Hand-man... Motor is looking especially nice on round two!

Nathan: one word... Sweet!

Randy: way cool scheme! Still blows me away how many variants there were of these planes. Crazy!

Fermis can't play... I'll just have to quit. Dang nice job on that foldie... Unreal! And great creative use for spare soda cansBow Down!

I hope to have an update here in the next day or two... Did manage a bit of weathering tonight but didn't have the camera handy. Baby steps on this one!Toast

Nah, no folding going on here!

Progress is going turbo-slow......getting nowhere...FAST!!! All my other projects are killing my bench time and sapping my creative juices. That, and apparently, our nearly nonexistant winter decided to give way to mid-summer already......85degrees yesterday....in MARCH....in Michigan.....retarded!!!! So, yardwork is killing me too. I miss winter. I got 6 more months (til deer season) of being in a bad, bad mood, and not enough of me to go aroundAngry BAH...stupid summer.

Anyway....I got  Tamy and Hase 109E's, with some a/m goodies going in. I'll post some pics when I get something done!

I hear ya....pollen count in the Ukraine is crazy-high right now and is killing my sinuses....so bad I'm taking furlough and traveling back to Berlin next week to spend some time with Sassy and get some R and R in...we might head down to Munich for a spell...

Now quit your crying and get to work...

Manstein's revenge

 fermis:

Can I come over and play too?

Got a pair to do!

I think he's bluffing...

Are you folding anything??

Nathan, uhh, WOW! Beautiful airbrush work, great variation as well, really looks "hand applied to the real thing".

Nice job Randy. That all 76 scheme looks tough to pull off and you did it. I like the spinner, how about more shots of the spinner spiralCool. For once I the scheme I'm doing doesn't call for a spiral,so no bloody decal or mask to mess with! Did white 44 carry the small wheel bulges?

Here's my latest...wheels on, wash done, aerial and antennas added, along with guns and exhaust. Still needs some more filters and post-shading, should be done this week.

Sorry for the poor lighting in the photos. I did manage to paint the chrome struts in the wrong place on the gear leg, Duhhhh! Have to fix it later. Its nice to see the cockpit again after all that painting...

Hopefully, I'll have some pics up in the next few days. I've got my g-14 built and partially painted in the scheme of Alfred Michel. This is my first 109, so things are mostly OOB so I can get a feel for the design. I will admit, from most of the pics I've seen of the 109, I'd always thought of them as boxy and kind of dull, but the more I get into this build, the more I love those lines!

I'm bogged down in the cockpit.. Had to spend the better part two hours scratch-build the trim-wheels.. I used Evergreen rod, but kept getting an oval or something would "Sproingggg!' off it..

Finally, I made them outta solder.. Cut it, bend it, CA it, done..

Sheesh...

Shoulda done that first...

Guys, everyone is cranking out some nice stuff! I'm a little dead in the water, been super busy! Hopefully this weekend will show some progress!

Looking forward to that g-14 build! Gonna do it in Hartmann winter scheme?
