I've got a few candidates here!

Will likely go with the 1/72 SU-15 first, then one of the Eduard kits.

Manstein's revenge

F@#$ !!!

You have the whole "F series !!!  Flagon will be cool...

There's many, many more "F"s out there! Doesn't EVERY Soviet fighter start with an "F", and bombers with a "B".

I'm leaning heavily on the Flagon! Just gotta wrap up a couple A-7s first!

Me Mig has arrived. Very pedestrian Revell kit.

A CLEAR instrument panel (w/ decal)...that's kinda different. I'll probably have to do some sculpting to get the ejection seat to fit.

I'm think the 1964 (my birthyear!) Soviet version. I got enough different shades of green to weather it up reel good!

Wings and Vert Stabilizer glued...shouldn't need much fill...

Fuselage cut, cleaned, and test-fitted.....looks like it will need some fill...

Canopy and Instrument panel (?!?!)  futured and covered...

Can't do much on the cockpit til the ejector seat arrives and I do an ejectorectomy...

Query:  The destructions appear to indicate I'm supposed to put the decal on the underside (away from the seat...upside down???) of the instrument panel; then paint the front (facing the seat. Is this correct???

Haven't seen an IP like that before. Haven't done many jets....

Some kits will have you build it that way to give the IP a more realistic look.  Accurate Miniatures was one company that had that feature a lot...I'm guessing the IP is a clear part?

Seems to be a few Trumpeter Mig 21's going to get done, I look forward to seeing all of these models being made and I look forward to my first group build, this is great as I have never been to America and yet I know people from all over the world can join in together thanks to this US magazine, I love this about the internet, connects people. So yes I will do a Warsaw pact Mig 21MF whichever has the best colour scheme to my eye, well I look forward to starting and I also start a degree in October so I will have my work cut out!!! My kit will be the Trumpeter 1/32 Mig 21MF you all know what the box looks like so I wont post a pic.

Manstein's revenge

Alright!  Alright!  I hear you Herr Field Marshall, sheesh...(patience yound Jedi, he mumbles under his fetid breath...)  While this is NOT my Group Build entry, I thought I would "warm up" with another fine Soviet aircraft.  In fact, a worthy entry it would make on its own accord!  Here is my AMT (Ertl, ?) Mig-27 Flogger D, in 1/48 of course.  She is all but finished, needing only some loose ends and a few fiddly bits (and maybe just a smidge of putty in a couple spots).  I'm sure proud of the result!Toast

Well if masking tape counted as building you'd be ahead of the game---but it don't, so start cutting and gluing styrene asap...

That probe-looking thing could be a drag parachute housing, maybe?
