1/72nd. PBM-5A Martin Mariner Seaplane

Thanks for that lacquer thinner tip, I will try that very soon as I mistakenly purchased a Tamiya Liquid Prime that is lacquer based.  I can use some of it for cleaning as you suggested.  I'm not against enamel or such, I was having some issues doing so.  

In regards to indoor carpet spray, you see what happens as soon as Mrs. Toshi is out the door?  I do stupid things like this!  LOL.  I normally spray outdoors, I just didn't want to deal with the heat and humidity.  Thank you for the read and reply.

I try to avoid using enamels in my AB if I can help it and its because the acrylics are so much easier to clean out with warm water. I don't use any special thinners for my acrylics either Toshi.

I had a heck of a day, yesterday, as I painted this up for my wife today.

I made a mess of things switching between enamel and acrylics. I didn't plan this one out at all, I just started painting.

I recently finished a Lindberg Models 1/72 scale Me 163.I have a few other old Lindberg kits being considered.What color scheme are you planning for the B-24 kit?

Wow!  That mask looks fantastic!  I reiterate that I prefer acrylics for my airbrush as oppose to enamel.  The same reason as you mentioned; "Easy clean up".  For my B-24 Liberator build I'll decide which (Acrylic-Enamel) type of paint to execute.  Thanks for the read and reply.

You're a busy man with those planes to complete.  As for my B-24, I'm stuck between olive drab or silver.  What are your thoughts?

It's a purple people eater! Toshi I know the colors are right on the model, but your camera isn't working.

The demarcations are soft, not hard. Can you go back and run a soft line along the Navy/ Medium at least?

Looks really good Toshi! You're a building machine my friend. Regarding the scheme on the 1/48th B-24,if it was me I would go with Olive Drab just for simplicity's sake. But of course the final call is yours...Douglas

That's very nicely done, Toshi, well applied paint scheme. Looks like you have your airbrushing "dialed in." Looking forward to your next build photos.

Thank you for the words of support!  I too thought that the tri-color scheme would do justice on this model ktt.  I feel comfortable in using the airbrush, I just need to practice more on my technique.  Thank you for the read and reply.

I love what you have done. I have loved this seaplane since my dad flew one back in the fifties. My 10 year old and I just completed the old Revell box sized Mariner and he is VERY proud of it. He also told me to tell you he likes your model too. I am looking forward to following your next build.
