Just a tip from your Uncle Jay there Toshi...

When the paint bleeds past the intended target ( as in your yellow plumbing on the engine block for example)  you can lightly scribe where the plumbing meets the engine block with a #11 Xacto blade, with the idea of scraping the excess paint off and also creating a "grove" between the two parts.  Then use your favorite wash over the area and the wash stays in the scribed lines , thus creating a more realistic and detailed look.

Goodness I built this thing when it first came out in 1974  and had it till a couple of months back when I sold it on Ebay for $60! It's a very good kit with some nice molded details. The Pfeil was a revolutionay aircraft that would have had IMO one extraordinary combat record if it had been developed earlier in the war. As I read on it during testing with the captured examples, it was faster than anything we had.

I believe the closest it got to combat was when one was being test flown and several Typhoons attempted to close in to attack but the Pfeil went full power and waved bye bye as the Typhoons could not keep up with its speed.

Like JJ says, make a dark wash and apply it on and let it dry. It will create shadows and add dimension to the molded details making them look even better.

There is a Tamiya and Hasegawa Donier 335.  Mrs. Toshi chose the Revell of Germany since I've never built anything from Revell of Germany.  I hope this one comes out ok.  Thanks for the visit!

I believe the Hase one is a re box of the Monogram kit, so basically the same as the one you have. We had a 335 GB last year and quite a few people entered the Mono/Revell and the Tamiya kits.

The Tamiya Pfeil has better details and recessed panel lines, it also costs more than the old Monogram. I have built both and will go with the Tamiya hands down. I made a Tamiya Heavily Armed version for the Dornier GB and opened up every panel I could.

I stayed up late and messed around with the cockpit last night.  This is as far as I got.  I have to stop now and head out to Walmart and grab some lead fishing sinkers so that the 335 doesn't sit on it's tail end.

Yea Toshi, that's what I'm talkin about !   The engines look great .

Some nice work there Toshi. I take it the two pits are separate rather than one large one.

 

Here is a quick update on the first cockpit.  I understand that the second cockpit was to be for a trainer scenario.  With that in mind, they utilized the second cockpit and turned the 335 into a night fighter.  Of course it was not to be.

You are correct there, the A-12 was to have been the trainer version with the Nightfighter being the B-6 which also had longer wings. The rear cockpit for the B-6 was also different and had a small bubble canopy.
