Toshi - Jay Jay's points about detailing and wash application in the engine bays really did the trick. I have been building longer than you have been alive, I never thought of doing that scribing next to plumbing and wiring. Great bag of tricks these many members have, here I am at 74 years and learning something often from this excellent forum. Thanks, Jay Jay.

Your "Mix Master" is coming along great, but what will you do when the worlds model supply is gone? At your build rate it won't be long.

Oh I wouldnt worry about the world's supply of kits drying. Modelers like you and me who've built up a stash would never finish each and every box anyway. lol

An exciting Monday night football game tonight, made even more exciting building this Do335.  While the Green Bay Packers lead the Kansas City Chiefs in the second half, I have assembled the wings and the unique tail of the Arrow.  Please see below.

Thanks for posting that link PJ. Some really nice footage tehre. It really is a big aircraft and it must have been a real pain to take off and land with that lower tail section. A bit to much angle and your in trouble.

Yes, I agree with your statement in regards to takeoff and landing issues.  We will just never know, oh well.  Here is another update on my build of the infamous Do335!

Looks to be coming on nicely Toshi.

But can I make one suggestion, and that's for your lighting. Your current set up seems to be casting shadows which make it hard to see. Would I be right in thinking you just have one light. If and when you can, I might suggest a second one which will help avoid casting the shadows.

I agree with Bish. I have 3 portable clip lights I got at Home Depot for photographing, eliminating the use of the flash and shadows.

The Pfeil's tail was designed to come off via explosive charges in case the pilot had to punch out otherwise that big prop would make the pilot ground meat. I see in that film that the tail was an issue for landings and take offs.

Yes, only German aircrafts were the first ever planes to have ejection seats for the pilots.  There is a sequence in which you have hit specific handles in order to eject the tail, prop, and finally the seat.

I actually have four lights, two of which are LED's and two of which are old school 100 watt bulbs.  I must apologize forum members as I have the lights angled in the wrong direction, hence the severe shadowing.  

Mrs. Toshi and my daughter purchased a photo booth for me on in which on occasions I tend to forget to utilize it due to my excitement in completing a project.  From this point on, I will not act like a little child (LOL!) and make sure to use the photo booth for photographing my work.
