As always on Sunday's during NFL football season, I'm stuck to the screen.  I did most of the Me 262 building last night.  Here is the current progression.

Nice work on the camo. I didn't realise it was visible on one side, I like that idea. Is there a reason you went for yellow for the inside area's.

Nice work on the camo. I didn't realise it was visible on one side, I like that idea. Is there a reason you went for yellow for the inside area's.

Thank you Bish, all these techniques are just things that I emulated from forum members like you.  Yes, this is just a dry fitting as well as a set up for the photo shoot.  I still need to attach the clear half as well as making several adjustments and attaching the landing gears.

I made one other visible model of which was a Monogram B-17G Visible Flying Fortress.  I painted the interior green zinc chromate.  It did not show case the fortress very well.  I wanted the interior to really stand out and shine.  Hence my decision to paint the B-17G interior yellow zinc chromate and I did the same with this build.

The Trumpeter build sheet says to utilize either Germany Gray or RLM02 Gray for the interior of the Me 262.  You could hardly see anything at all.  With the yellow zinc chromate color, it brings out the dull colors and brings attention to the fine details.  I know I'm not correct with the color, but it displays really well.  Thank you for the visit!

SNF (Sunday Night Football) game of the night.  Green Bay Packers vs Denver Broncos.  4th quarter with 8 minutes to play, GB 10/DB 29.  Go Peyton Manning!

This is the best of 2 worlds for me.  I get to watch a NFL game while I build this wonderful Me 262 model, I got this part done during the first 3 quarters.  Mrs. Toshi went to bed and told me; "Do not stay up late"!  I promised her that I'll turn in after the post game interviews on the NFL Network.  Ha Ha, yah right.  Anyway, please view the photos below.  Thank you very much and all forum members have a goodnight.

Yes, RLM 02 would be the normal colour and i guess Trumpeter would point this out. But i can really see your logic for doing it yellow, it does help things stand out better. Not somthing i would have thought of.

Man , that's a great looking kit and you're doing a fine job on it Toshi. Your camo paint job is amazing.

Question;  what kind of glue did you use to join  the clear parts ?

Thanks Jay Jay!  I too think that the camouflage came out great.  At first it did not look like what I expected.  After the 3 washes, everything blended well.  As for the glue to join, the clear parts, I used Tamiya Extra Thin Cement.  Thanks for the visit Jay Jay, I truly appreciate it.

Here is the finale of the Me 262.  I really love to build "Visible" model kits.  For once, all the details we as modelers intricately apply in a rabid way gets to be showcased.

Besides the engine pods, this kit needed next to nothing in putty work and sanding.  It was a pleasure to build.  Trumpeter also has a Visible Dauntless "Midway" edition.  I just might pick up that as well!

Until that time occurs, here are the finalization of the "Swallow".

Really nice job Toshi, Love the paint job. You'r really comming along. Why did you go with the Chromate Yellow instead of RLM 02 for the interior color?

Edit: Ah, I just need to read.

Steve

Thank you for supporting my Me 262.  Next to the Dornier Arrow, this has to be one of my top five builds.
