Here's the link to my painting Marc: http://cs.finescale.com/fsm/modeling_subjects/f/29/t/156511.aspx?page=13

I used Gunze H323 Air superiority Blue, and H25-Sky blue. For your topside blue I'd say it should be lighter than my mix. The sky blue would be too dark, but looks like H323 is close. What does Eduard give for suggestion, and can it be cross-ref. to a brand you use?

Thanks to all that have commented and hope you stay along for the ride.
One thing or another has kept me away from the bench.  Managed to find little snippets of time to get this far.  Right color or not is not the case here.  Matching the  color PE was paramount in my mind.  I am pretty happy with the match.  It was achieved with 3 Tamiya colors instead of the 2 color Gunze recipe since I don't have a local source for Gunze paint.  I bought a resin cockpit upgrade forgetting that  had the ProfiPack kit but it's nice anyway since it gave me more options on how the get the pit together.
A couple of cockpit tub picks, the seat all done up... sadly no stencils of the seat in the kit or the resin cockpit... and finally a quick mock up.

Aww man, I just saw one of the other threads and am trying NOT to buy a jet, but that scheme is so cool! I can't wait to see you take it on. And if this is anywhere near the quality of your A-4, you'll have a great piece to sit next to it on the shelf.

Eduard MiG-21R - 12/6 - + Weps=DONE!
Posted by wing_nut on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 12:05 PM
Next up is the 1/48 Eduard MiG-21R ProfiPACK.  Little did I know there were several variants available.  It was the only one left on the shelf when the LHS closed down so I grabbed it know nothing about  it other than it looks like a major bad@$$.  I am going for the MiG for a few reasons.  1) Ready for the echo?   It looks like a major bad@$$.  2) My head it still in a gas passer mode after the A4.  3) I am sort of hooked on that blue from the A4 tail.  It looks close enough that a minor alteration will get me a close match for the pre-painted cockpit PE.  And there is a Cuban scheme that is green and...yup... that blue. and finally, 4)  A couple of MiG threads are already going so if mine stinks... maybe I can hide behind the other guys an no one will notice.
 This is the scheme.
