Toshi,  A great build of a mean looking aircraft.  You continue to amaze.  You are the "stash master", and you do it with quality builds.  I am not worthy.

Gorgeous job on that sleek bird Toshi! I saw the one at the USAF museum last year. I have that same kit and your build is very inspiring! Now over to watch your Dauntless build my friend. You need to start selling tickets for your builds as the audience is huge!

Thanks roger_wilco!  Thanks for the visit.  Selling tickets?  LOL!

And again you need a great job on her!

Another very nice build.  Glad you decided to have the canopies open, so the beautiful work in the offices can be seen.  I take over a year to do one and it is way less quality than you do in less than a week.

Toshi- very well done, and very smooth both with the build and the paint! The SR-71 is my favorite aircraft of all time, and you've captured the look very well. The cockpit in particular is very well done, and I'm glad you left the canopies open to show off your work. Those red 'no step' decal stripes are also difficult to lay down correctly because of their length, and it looks like you got them to behave properly! I built the old Minicraft/Hasegawa Blackbird years ago and I had trouble with those red stripes.

Very nice of you to build this for your daughter's boyfriend.

I had forgotten that Smithsonian Channel on cable did an episode on the SR for "planes that changed the world".  Saw it again last night, along with the episode on the DC-3.

If you get that channel keep an eye out for them, or you might be able to find them online somewhere.

Thank you very much for the kind words and support.  It means much to me.  As for the canopies open, it was your suggestion sir, thank you!  You see, I learn so much from you and members of this wonderful forum.

Thank you sir!  The cockpit left open was a suggestion from goldhammer, I'm glad that I took his recommendation as well in leaving the cockpit open.

The decals were interesting at best.  I used a little vinegar in the water to soak the decals in.  It definately helps.  Thank you sir for the read and reply!

Thanks for the heads up.  Unfortunately, I don't have that channel.  I will look it up on line.
