You did fine work on the Kingfisher, Toshi.

When I started building models at 8 years old, my dad used to help me paint my models with the Testors spray can. So I never did hand paint a model whole before. Even until my recent return to the hobby, prior to Mrs. Toshi purchasing a NEO AB, I was using a spray can.

When I painted the Kingfisher with brushes, it was really fun! I enjoyed it very much. I don't think I can pull it off on a 1:32, I'm not that good. LOL! Thank you for the read and reply.

That's a good lookin' build there Toshi. I always had a soft spot for a Kingfisher but the only kit out there is the Monogram offering. I've built a couple of my retro builds using the old Monogram platforms and just cant bring myself to build one of these. Good job and hats off to you for pulling this one off...

Thank you Mustang1989. I've always admired the Kingfisher, it's a nice looking and unique aircraft. I so enjoyed this build, I had a great time, especially the hand brushing. I didn't think I could complete it but, Mrs. Toshi encouraged me to move forward. Thank you for the read and reply!

Thank you for the link, it was very informative. I was in the mind set of my next build after the Trumpeter Stuka is completed. Since I've never heard of Kitty Hawk until now, I'm thinking of purchasing their Kitty Hawk 1:32 P-39 Airacobra! I think that the P-39 is a cool looking unusual plane plus Mrs. Toshi has the same sentiments as well.

Thank you, it was an enjoyable, fun, exciting, yet challenging road, made all the better with the support you and fellow forum members have given me. I'm slowly but surely running out of room. I'm taking a few more models to the VFW. They put my completed projects in a display case. I was very honored that they think so highly of my builds.

I was also considering displaying my collection at the local library or the local school library here in Streetsboro, Ohio. I'll have to research that one, if not, I can hang my planes up. Thanks for inquiring as well as the visit.

Thank you ScottRC. It was a new experience for me. I know this much, I don't think I can pull it off on a 1:32 kit. Besides painting more space (I would be questioning my hand painting skills in preventing streaks) on a larger model, I've come to realize how much more paint is utilized by hand brushing a project. Overall, I had a great time with the Kingfisher.

Wow what a difference. When you first brush painted it looked like it was going to glow in the dark. Afterwards incredible finish. Great work.
