Thank you Hunter, as I'm looking forward to your next build as well!  As I mentioned above, there are three more kits waiting to be assembled and I am most excited for all three.  The Corasair as that came from my favorite TV show "Baa Baa Blacksheep", Skyhawk for it was one of the three jets I built during my youth, and finally the Tamiya Landcaster.  

 

I think I'll build the Lancaster last.  It seems the most complex as well as detailed.  Hunter, thank you so much for following my builds.  You don't know how much it means to me!

To my fellow forum members,

While building the engine, I found that there is a part or two that are missed numbered.  Just watch carefully on what you do.  I built one engine at a time hence I was able to make the corrections needed on the second engine.  Mind you, the parts are so small and will be covered by the cowling.  

As you can see, the masking of the canopy and placement worked out really well and I'm very happy with the outcome.  Besides these small discrepancie, I think this is a really well designed kit.  It is a very well detailed model and once built, it will definitely be a item that you'd be proud to display.  

If I may add, this is a challenging kit with not only the PE but some styrene parts that are as small as PE.  Due to the attention to detail, you'll be happy with the outcome.

I like your progress on this build. It would take me a couple of months to get to the point that you're at now. Looking very much forward to seeing the finished product, my friend!

To my fellow forum members,

On this day, I'm very relaxed and enjoying life.  Why is this any different from any other day?  On Friday, Mrs. Toshi had severe chest pains and had to go to the emergency room.  Although the doctors found nothing, for safeties sake, they kept her in the hospital for evaluation.

They released her within 24 hrs., I was elated.  All kinds of scenarios ran through my mind with her initial pain.  Thank the lord that all the information after an evaluation was negative.  She's home now and is relaxing in the living room watching her favorite shows via Netflix.  I've been working on the Bronco all day, it's a very difficult build but I am happy that I overcame the obstacles.  

Things of these nature tend to pop-up when you're least expecting so.  This just re-confirms my ideals in that life is too short, with that in mind, you try to embrace each and everyday.  This goes back to what I've learned here on FSM Forum; "Just have fun."  

Below is the Bronco ready for it's first coate.  Thank you in advance for your read and replies.

Toshi, great job so far! Nice, clean build. After seeing the photo-etch wing fences (four on each wing), I had to grab my Bronco model and take a look at the instructions, as I had never seen those on a Bronco before. Sure enough, they're in the instructions, mounted sideways. Seems to me that placement would be 90 degrees off (I would think that they would be mounted pointing straight into the wind). Looking on the internet, I could only find two pictures of these wing fences, but they were only on the right wing - none on the other wing! And, it looks like they're mounted in the same direction as your's are on your model, but the angle that the pictures were taken makes it hard to to tell. So, now I'm really confused as to what they're for. I can't find any information about them at all. 

Anyways, Toshi, you're doing great on the Bronco. Looking forward to seeing more pictures!

I stayed up a little later than my normal sleep time.  I was so excited to see how the first coate of paint would look like on this build.  So far, I think it went very well.  Besides the paint job, assembling the wings to the cockpit was a difficult procedure and it required the help of Mrs. Toshi.  I think fellow forum members that would build this kit would have less issues as I, if for not of my disabilities.  

At this juncture, I'll be spraying the camoflauge on by free hand.  After that it's all about buttoning up the bronco and adding on all the munitions afforded by this Kitty Hawk kit.  They're a wide range and substantial amount of bombs, rockets, and such.  Please view the following photos for anymore progress.  Thank you all for visiting this thread.

To my fellow forum members,

Every Tuesday, I'm at Hobby Lobby at exactly 10:10am.  That's because the therapy that I need is right next door To Hobby Lobby.  At one point, I used to live there, once I could care for myself, MENTIS released me.  Tomorrow will be a must to go to Hobby lobby.  I ran out of paint!

Last night I decided that Earth Brown would be a great base coat, unfortunately I was wrong.  It was way too dark.  So as you can see the difference in that of the base coat, I have included a photo of my mistake.  The only way to correct this was to start all over again and repaint the Bronco with a light brown.  

I currently really like what I see.  I've already started the camouflage process on one side of the Bronco.  Tomorrow I can get a few more bottles of brown needed so that I can complete this project.  Thank you forum members for your patience and understanding.

Once home, I have my daily chores to work on and then I can utilize the rest of my day and evenings for some bench time.  Thank you sir for a very quick, and simple visit.  It's visits like this that makes my day!

I do highly recommend this kit and for that matter, any one of Kitty Hawks models.  What drew me to the Bronco was how well my previous build of which was a Airacobra went.  These kits are intensely detailed.  When you do purchase the Kitty Hawk Bronco, I'd love to see a WIP on this thread.  Thank you for the read and reply!

Here is today's presentation.  My next step is to gloss coat the Bronco in order to add adhere the decals.  This will be the second time that I've had to respray the Bronco as I utilized too dark of a brown.  

I definately feel really good about this reshoot.  Below are some highlights, thank you forum members in advance.

Here is the almost completed Bronco.  As soon as the decals touched the water, they melted away as if the water was muriatic acid!  I'll need to go AF now.  This is a very disappointing situation!

A very great and solid build buddy. The paint work is outstanding, and the canopy work looks good. As for the decals, you'll nail it when your replacements arrive. Add a notch to another great build friend. It turned out great. Looking forward to the next one. 

That came out great!  Bummer on the decals.  I'm going to have to get this kit.

As far as I can tell those triangle shaped features on top of the wings are spoilers that retract into the wing flush.  I'm guessing they pop up to increase the roll rate or may be deployed on both sides together as air brakes?  The only cut away drawing I've been able to find on the Bronco is in a foreign language but it does show this feature.

Another outstanding build for you, great job all around, the finished model looks just fine. Unfortunate that the decals are so poor, when will the kit makers ensure that everything is set right, when the kits leave the factory?
