Thanx.

I put the matt clearcoat on and the decals look very good, no silvering. I played arround a little with the matt coat - in some areas I have the paint a little "matter" and in patches a little very slightly more satin.

This simulates how the paint will fade diferent in diferent areas on the airframe, I am very pleased with the result :-D

I need to add a few more bits but you can get the idea now. I only added some exhaust stains, no real weathering.

So after close to 5 months I am finally done with this model. It took more work than I initially thought but the results are worth it I think.
It is a damn monster and I have no idea where I will put it #-o

You can just about see the different "shine levels" on the wings. I tried to simulate the way paint fades differently in some areas. I also "mudded up" the wheels and bottom of the spats like a Stuka based on a grass field in France might look like, some exhaust satining and that is about it. I did not want to go mad with the weathering.

You cant quite see it in the pix , but some "wize ass" ground grew member wrote on the 500 kg bomb "Fur Winston"

Wow again! The final product is outstanding! Your commitment really shows on this example. I am impressed. That looks to be a fun scale to work with, I might have to try one.

Really nice work. Such a big kit I'd be afraid I would go detail crazy and never get it done. You did a great job.

Very nice!

Them big'ns are hard to make not look like a toy...ya did good!

I did the P-51, Spit, and 109 years ago...back when Squadron had em for only $25! The first 109 came out all kinds of horrible...my second go with it (a few years ago) was way better!

Thanx.

I found working with this large model quite a chalange. It handles difficult, takes special care when putting it down and I just realized now that I must have broken off the pitot tube on the right hand wing before I took the pix :-(

It was however a good experience to work on my Airfix 1/24 Tiffy next year.

That's one heck of a finish up there Theuns. These 1/24 builds have a way of taking up quite the space alright. I've got a 1/24 Bf109 under glass which takes up some space and it's only half again the size of this thing! I do have that 1/24 scale Fw190 D-9 though........... Indifferent

Great work buddy! Yes
