I, too, am glad to see you still posting, Toshi. Yes

I love the Harrier. I have the Hasegawa 1/48 waiting in my stash, but I won't get to it for a while. Yours is looking great so far! That cockpit is very impressive!

Thank you so much dirkpitt77 for your words of support.  I'm very excited to be back on FSM Forums and building kits.  The most important fact is that I get to have conversations with forum members like yourself.  Thank you for the read and reply!

Toshi

I forgot to add while your Hasegawa 1/48 Harrier kit is on the holding pattern, what are you working on now?  Thank you in advance!

Toshi,

That IP and cockpit look brilliant!

But more than that, i'm really happy to see you back here and posting. I'm glad you've been able to keep up the hobby despite the recent move.

I look forward to seeing more of your builds.

Thank you so much cml I so appreciate your kind words.  I'm just as happy to be back posting and especially the building of kits.  What I cherish the most is the fact that I get to have such important and valuable conversations with people from all around the world like you cml.  Thank you so much for the support!

Here is the start of the engine.  I assumed that the engine would be large especially in 1/32.  What I didn't expect was how large.  LOL!

Thank you Griffin25.  The blue screens are aftermarket Eduard PE.  The only thing of the IP that's part of the kit is the IP's base.  Everything else you see is from the Eduard PE set #32673.  Thank you so much for the visit!

Glad your back Toshi......True Lies was a classic..

I'm so happy to be back!  I miss making kits but I miss you and all of the forum members.  I so enjoy these conversations.  Every time we move, the surround sound system needs to get broken down.  Upon set up, I always calibrate the speakers using the scene from Matrix where Keanu Reaves "Neo" is in the Huey chopper saving Morpheus.  Trinity is the pilot.

For shear intensity the machine gun and the helicopter crash scene is what I use to see if the subwoofer is set up right.  Then I use the scene in True Lies of where the two Harriers intertwine and shoot their missiles at the bridge.  I love to use that as a test scene as that test scene puts emphasis on the left, center, right, rear left, and rear right surround speakers as the missiles are launched and the two Harriers fly their tandem patterns.  If everything is set up right, you can hear the missiles fly around you and hear the jets move around the room.  As you stated; "True Lies was a classic"!  I must agree with you on that note!

Toshi

To Bish,

Finally!  This was one of the last rooms to do.  I too love this subject as I still recall this jets performance in a movie called True Lies.  I just loved the concept of a VSTOL aircraft and thought how cool it would be to build one!  Thank you for the read and reply!

Toshi

Isn't that always the case. I am now finally in my own model den after years of building in the dinning room.

You can always trust the Brits to come up with something special. Wink

Yes, the OG Sidley Harrier was an amazing innovation.  You Brits really made a fantastic aircraft and a cool one at that.

LOL!  What a coincidence.  I hope you enjoy building that kit as much as I enjoyed the build.  I was not as heartbroken but more so shocked to see it on the ground when I had larger models hanging.  Oh, well.  Thus is life.  LOL!  Good luck on your build!

I remembered your incident because I'm building the same kit now... I'd be heartbroken if that happened to mine with all the effort I'm sinking into it...

Wow, you have a good memory!  You just jogged my mind in the incident I had several months ago with the F-4G Phantom that fell from the sky!  LOL! Thank you for the read and reply.

This will not be as big of a model as your F-4G that fell and was destroyed recently. The Harrier is maybe 2/3 the size of the Phantom.
