So, this brief bench session was mostly spent carefully blending & buffing the putty spots. There wasn't a whole lot to be done, but I was trying to preserve as much of the raised panel lines as I can.

10 days of Canadian sunlight would ba about the same a 1-2 here in South Africa in the summer LOL.

Theuns

Very likely, we get lots of sun, most of it is for decoration only.  :)

Next up, the cockpit. As the canopy will be closed I won't be going overboard with detailing here. Added some masking tape harness straps as they'll be quite visible.

Noseweights set me back a grand total of 4 cents Canadian, fit in there just right.

Attachment points sorted out for the rocket racks...

SQUIRREL!!!!

Peanuts for SQUIRREL!!! Nothing but the good stuff. I'm secretly hoping he starts wearing a monocle.

Right, where was I? Fuselage sealed up, wings assembled & attached, elevators attached. Very little putty needed topside, a little more on the underside, but to be honest I saw a lot of "If I'd done this instead of that" moments that could've reduced the putty even more.

I'll be watching this. Built this when I was a kid in the early 80's

Revenant

Confused.    So...9-10 days of Canadian sunlight would equate to how many days of Georgian sunlight?

Whistling about three hours. Sad

For anyone who thinks it's just an urban legend, YES, it really does work.

9-10 days of good Canadian sunlight...

Closed canopy is the option here.

Yep, low parts count.

Taped up - no major issues.

The only spot that looks like it will have any work is the rear wing underside to lower fuselage joint.

No ordnance included here. The Israelis used these mostly as a ground-attack platform. I've got a set of unguided rockets from a late-mark Academy Spitfire. Think I'll try to modify some old drop tanks to play the part of napalm tanks, I saw a pic last night of that setup. The other option seems to be a pair of 500-pound bombs.

Just populating this thread to get the build properly logged. Big Smile

I can't NOT do the shark's teeth option...

The overall silver Frenchie version doesn't look bad either, also has that "double unit marking" on either side of the nose,

It was a steal!

Not much to the assembly.

Very sharky!

Decals.... colour still looks good, but the carrier film had yellowed some -  hung them in a window to bleach that out a little.
