Wow great looking build apsalutly great looking.
Again, I'm always astounded by the final pictures. I always follow along on your methods but I always say Wow! at the finish.
I want to be a model builder like you when I grow up. LOL! Oops, I think it's too late!
Thumbs up here!

Y'know, I don't think I'll ever buy this kit due to your experiences with the glue less feature of it. :/
That being said, I must say that you've made a most stunning model with it regardless!
Even knowing what troubles you had, the finish you achieved would convince me have a go at the kit anyways.
Superb finish And exemplary skills. Well done!! :)

Thank you very I very much for Sharon by your build and the totally up-front and informed thoughts regarding both the kit and the instructions/building steps. Very handy to know. Like you I believe that my Hasegawa and Tamiya kits are very safe and secure from being sold off. Eventually I think I want to get a MENG Mustang but will hold out for a cheap one or even a started kit.
Very nice job your finish is superlative.

P.S. Thank you again for the decals!

Chip Lawdog, I had a general question about how you use the Alclad in these builds. Do you add a protection layer to seal the paint prior to adding the decals?

Thanks everyone. You're all very kind. Chip, you can decal right over the Alclad. It's plenty smooth enough. I usually hit the decaled areas with clear gloss before a wash though to seal them. It prevents wash fron seeping under the decals. Good Luck. The Tamiya is a great kit
Lee, your welcome...enjoy!

Incredible build! I'm starting mine now. Just getting through the cockpit. I agree, the snap fit has its advantages but the necessary low tolerances make things very tight. Have to use quite a bit of force for some delicate pieces. Broke a couple of things already. Using glue quite a bit
One question. How did you get that (annoyingly seamed) canopy to sit down in the open position? I read this was a problem. Thanks.
