WOW!!  That is an eye-popping bird!  Now that I have popped my eyes back in, just wanted to say that your work is outstanding.  You did a great job on those decals.

D

Thank you so much Dman!  You are too kind with your words.  The decal that was most difficult was the wing feathers.  It was just too big of a decal.  I had to work fast and be accurate at the same time.  If not, it would have ripped!  Centering everything was the key to this project.  Thank you so much for your support in my projects!  I greatly appreciate it.

Sweet Eagle Toshi, I knew you could pull it off. Though I'm an Idaho native and now Washington transplant, that Oregon tail decal is very cool. Mrs. Toshi will be very happy to have that bird in HER collection. Have a GREAT day sir.

wow that looks awsome , very nice look forward to seeing the kingfisher mate :)

Thank you sir.  Yes, the more I think about it, the more I'm leaning my decision towards the Kingfisher!  I personally enjoy working with PE and there's a Big Ed Set for the Kittyhawk 1/32 Kingfisher.  We'll see what Mrs. Toshi has got to say.  LOL!  Thanks for the visit.

Toshi

Toshi I have the KH Kingfisher and IMO getting a Bidg Ed set is an overkill. The kit is very well detailed as is but if you want to add some pe then I would go with something simpler. I just don't see replacing good detailed parts but it's your call.

Thank you for the tip.  I'll Definately look into this and see some reviews on the Kittyhawk 1:32 Kingfisher.  Thanks again!

Thank you so very much!  I have to agree with you in that the Oregon decal is really cool.  I like it the most.

It's a very colorful decal and adds some differentiation to the F-15.  Although Mrs. Toshi likes the plane, all models must be displayed on the den wall.  LOL!  Thank you for visiting my thread, I appreciate it very much.

Outstanding as always!

FWIW, I have 22 years working the F-15C/D and never saw that pod on that station. Come to think of it I never saw anything placed on those two outboard stations. The pod would go on station 5 (centerline tank) and the jet would fly with either two wing tanks (Charlie configuration) or nothing, just internal fuel.

Whats next?

Thank you so much for the information.  I greatly appreciated!  What's next you say?

Well for a Father's Day gift from Mrs. Toshi, I got a Kitty Hawk 1/32 Kingfisher, a Trumpeter 1/32 F-4U 1A Corsair, metal landing gears and a Big Ed Set all for the Corsair.

That is really, really cool, Toshi. Are you going to dull the finish or leave it as-is?

That sir is a really good (Million Dollar) question!  Do I spray on some flat paint or leave it as is?  I don't know?

I think I'll let Mrs. Toshi decide.  She picked it out specifically for the eagle motif.  If I had to decide, I would be stumped!  Flat or gloss?  What do you think?  Thank you in advance.

Toshi,

Some more info. WhenI first saw the tail number I thought it read 78-041. After your close up I noticed it is 79-041, I worked this jet (at times) while stationed at Bitburg with the 36TFW.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Those were the days!

Thank you scottrc.  No, it's not just you, Mrs. Toshi said it stands out in a gloss finish.  Thanks for the visit and comment!

That is so cool XF-15DCC.  I'm very happy that you were able to recognize this F-15C as the one you worked on.  You don't have to thank me for the trip down memory lane, it is I that thanks you for your service.

Great job on your Eagle. I love that Eagle artwork.

I do have a problem, though. I have scoured the military aircraft board just now and have not found your Kingfisher topic already with 3 pages! Are you slowing down on us?Wink

Joking with you, but I am sure we will see some more great work soon from you. Happy father's day to you.

Thank you Aggieman!  The art work took some finesse on the F-15C Eagle.  But it got done.  Thanks to you and Forum members.

LOL!  LOL!  It's 4:00am and here I am laughing loud waking up Mrs. Toshi!  LOL!  Yes, I'm slowing down on you guys and gals.  I'm getting old!  LOL!

Mrs. Toshi purchased these gifts for me for Father's Day.  A Kitty Hawk 1/32 Kingfisher with some Montex masks that left China yesterday.  She also purchased for me a Trumpeter 1/32 F4U-1 Corsair with a Big Ed Set and the main metal landing gears that left China yesterday as well.  I should see them arrive late next week!

And have happy Father's Day to you as well!  And enjoy it.

Toshi, I expect good work from you, and you did it again. What is so unique about your F-15 is that it is so pretty! You must have a good wife that keeps you so well supplied with kits. When are you moving into a bigger house? Happy Father's Day!

I see that you're getting ready for the Kittyhawk 1/32 Kingfisher.  I am considering the Kingfisher for my next kit.

Well, it's safe to say you will be done LONG before I am as I have 3 kits in the works atm and I am rather busy with outside stuff so my modeling is taking a bit of a back seat. I'll get there eventually. I can't wait to see yours.

Thank you sir.  Your words are too kind.  I am most humbled.  Yes Shipwreck, she's a good wife.  I'm always thinking of how well she treats me.  LOL!  Not moving into a big house just yet, I need to win the lottery first and then it'll be time to move.

And a Happy Fathers Day to you to.

That's right!  Now I remember!  I was building the old Monogram/Revell Kingfisher and you had posted on my thread your newly acquired Kitty Hawk Kingfisher.  That's why I wanted one so bad, in the back of my mind I wanted to build one.

I finally got all the stencils applied.  Now I'll be waiting for the one single part (Intake) to arrive from Revell to complete my F-15.  These are just a couple of pics as I don't want to bore you with the rest of the stencils.

When that part arrives, I can prep it and glue it onto the Eagle so I can call this build complete.
