Thank you Mike. First place was a beautifully detailed new tool 1/32 Heinkel Volksjäger. He fully deserved first. I think I have it linked here early in the thread.
F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!
U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!

Last week I was able to get ahold of the Theme Award plaque that we won. I took a couple photos the day before yesterday.
This story is now over...

Seasick and Tiger, thank you for your kind words.
Nice work Stik. There is a lot detail work with those decals and they came out great.
Great Build!!!
Chasing the ultimate build.
Thanks guys! This was a very happy ending for a long languishing shelf queen. Far better than I had hoped with all the NMF setbacks and speed bumps.
Jay Jay, please do get your F-86 going again and share it here! There are never enough Sabres on here.
You have inspried me to finially finish my 1/48 "Mig Mad Marine" F-86 which is in a ruined state of terrible gloss black under coat. I got some brake fluid and am going to start over for the Alcladd
I'm finally retired. Now time I got, money I don't.
Congrats on the well deserved award
Very well deserved. Your going to need a bigger trophy cabinet at this rate.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
On the bench: Airfix 1/72nd Harrier GR.3/Fujimi 1/72nd Ju 87D-3
Well deserved trophy. Congrats stik.
Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!
I was able to pick up my Theme Award plaque for the Sabre the other day, and able to get a couple photos today....
Thank you Dwayne. This thread seems to have gotten a second wind lately.
I must have lost this thread somewhere along the way. Congrats on the award!! Well deserved. She is a beaty!

GMorrison Yes, well all of those uncles were Army too
Yes, well all of those uncles were Army too
Not in Korea. Uncle Jim was a blue suiter, not AAF like the others. And I believe his dad was both. It would be nice if the old bugger would come back aboard here.
Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
GMorrison stikpusher GMorrison His uncle Jim Thats what I thought. And IIRC, his father flew Airacobras off of Guadalcanal with the 67th during the battle. His uncle John. And Mike's father was a pilot too, that's right.

Yes he came from a flyboy family, so it's funny he was an Army type. Wasnt his daughter an Army chopper pilot?
Thank you PJ. Funny how your old boss and the pilot of the real Mig Mad Mavis shared variants of the same family name (not to mention the Stuka pilot). They are all perhaps related somewhere way back along the line from generations back. I did learn that this particular Ruddell at least made Colonel and commanded the 479th Fighter Wing when they had F-104s.
Well done stik. Had a hard time finding the issues till you pointed them out, no biggie and still looks great. Great touch with the multi color panel tone variation.
My boss last name at my first job right after high school was Rudel or Rudell and was a P-38 pilot in the Pacific. No relation to the name on yours since he never mentioned a family member as a Sabre pilot.
Thank you Bish.
Really like that nice, very nicely presented. Even if not a dio, i much prefer aircraft at least on a base.and the equipment is a very nice extra touch.
Well done and very well deserved.
Thank you Griffin. I think the base took it up a notch or two compared to the basic finished aircraft.
