Well it actually looks very decent from here Toshi. That kit has some BIG seam issues and a terrible fitting canopy so it tests ones abilities.

I scratched built some FOD covers for mine since there is no trunking pesent. I also did the weapons bay closed to keep the sleek clean lines of the Deuce but still working on it.

Here I have the completed f-102 Delta Dagger. A very interesting build I must say.  The landing gear, bombs and bomb racks, gave me the best of insanity I thought to myself, did I hit my head again?  lol!  No, but the side of the boxed kit does say level 4.  

Everything else proved to be with no issues and or concerns.  Of all the kits to take close to two months to finish, (Due to illness) it had to be this kit.  Well, Mrs. Toshi already purchased my Father’s Day gift.  A Trumpeter 1/32 F4F-4 Wildcat.  I don’t have a single Wildcat in my collection so this will be a interesting and fresh build.

Being a humbled modeler, I must say that this was not my better attempts but a mediocre attempt at best so please forgive some of the inaccuracies.

Hi toshi,

I never had great luck with bombs and bomb racks.  I seem to always break them off.  I was advised to work slow and use superglue and have activator on hand.  

3am build sessions, I miss those.

Here are some photos of the Dagger.  I took these photos at 3:30am est.  this morning. I did this as this is when I have some time to my bench.  So far among other things, I came across some real issues with the bomb racks.  

Now mounting them will be another issue as well.

I ended up hand painting the wing tips and tail red.  This will be my finish for today.  I hope you like as this is one of the latest nights I’ve ever stayed up!  lol!

Too bad about the Skeeter, but glad to hear it survived the fall fairly well.

I've had high blood pressure since I was 30. Lots of good meds available these days and you'll learn to live with it if it doens't go away.

I was lucky, I got my high blood pressure at about the same time the FAA was recognizing some BP meds as ok for pilots. These days, they are all ok far as I know.

But take your BP meds. They prevent strokes.

 

He wanted to help fix all the broken pieces but Mrs. Toshi stepped in and told him no.  He’s really smart and is learning a lot everyday!

I was really depressed as I already take ten to twelve pills everyday.  Ugh!  Now I take two extra pills for my high blood pressure.  It was just very overwhelming for me.  I was getting severe anxiety attacks.

LOL Toshi, that is one heck of a crash landing but the Mosquito looks very good still!

Don't fret any about the blood pressure thing. Thanks to my job police work, it gave me semi high blood pressure about 14 years ago and have been taking Lisinopril 5 MG daily. Watch your salt intake to keep the numbers low.

 

I have to credit my grandson Ezra, he’s not even two years old and he was able to find the three pieces needed to repair the Mossie.  Also I have a Eagle that lost a couple of bombs and the drop tank during this ordeal.  The Mosquito damaged the eagle on it‘s Way down!

As for my high blood pressure I was just depressed about taking more pills.  I take anywhere from ten to twelve pills because of my accident eight years ago.

I too take Lisinopril twenty Mg. and Metoprolol Tartrate twenty five Mg.  For Mrs. Toshi and I it’s not the salt that is an issue, it’s the soy sauce that we need to reign in.  Thank you so much for your concern and support!  I so greatly appreciate it!

I know this is a thread on a WIP for a F-102 Delta Dart.  But a few days ago for reasons unknown, I found my very expensive Tamiya 1/32 Mosquito on the ground.  Somehow it fell.  Luckily the next morning, my very smart grandson helped me find the three missing pieces that fell off.  Yes, close to eight feet above the ground did the Mosquito fall from.  

Thats one hell of a testament on how well Tamiya had engineered their 1/32 Mosquito.  So I’ll be putting back together the Mosquito this evening and will be working on the Delta Dart very shortly after that.  Thank you Forum Members for your time.

Welcome back Toshi. I had almost the same thing two weeks ago, bed ridden with a 102.5 fever. It took 3 days for the antibiotics to kick in. I'm glad your back at the bench bud.

Sorry, Toshi, been away from following your builds. Glad to hear you are doing better. The weather in Ohio has been crappy this year, hasn't been this bad in awhile. Seems like we have missed Spring. Supposed to be nice for the next few days. By the way, the model is coming along great, as usual. Enjoy the week, my friend!
