Great to see you back, Mr. Toshi. I was wondering what had happened and was getting concerned. Take it easy and get some rest. Looking forward to the final reveal.

Sorry, Toshi, been away from following your builds. Glad to hear you are doing better. The weather in Ohio has been crappy this year, hasn't been this bad in awhile. Seems like we have missed Spring. Supposed to be nice for the next few days. By the way, the model is coming along great, as usual. Enjoy the week, my friend!Smile

I think this is as far as I’ll get today.  My grandson arrived to spend the next three nights and four days with us.  We will be having fun with him.  I’ll be sneaking in some bench time during his nap.

I’ve finally attached the canopy to the cockpit area.  I decided to keep the canopy closed as the cockpit is minimal at best yet it still holds it‘s own after all these years.

Sometimes it's good to just take some time and slow down in life and play and let the mind and body catch up. Keep getting better and your work looks great as usual.

Yes, I totally agree with you.  The down time I spent was a much needed rest.  Thank you for your concerns as well as your statement in that; “my work looks as great as usual”.

Greg

What a relief.

Add me to the list. I was sitting here worried about you, darned near started a "has anyone heard from Toshi" thread, then I found this thread.

Sorry you've been ill. You must be better if Mrs Toshi is allowing you to play with your model today. I surely hope so.

God bless you both, and it's just great to 'see' you online.

Thank you so very much for your concern.  I really appreciate it.  I think the weather here in Ohio had something to do with my pneumonia.  Hot, cold, hot, cold.  It’s been a very weird spring.

Today it’s very sunny with low to mid 30 degree temps.  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday will be sunny with temps in the 60’s and 70’s.  Mrs. Toshi and I will make use of this great weather and take our grandson Ezra out to the park and feed the ducks.

To my fellow forum members,

Here is what I‘ve done so far on this very chilly yet sunny Sunday afternoon.  I was sanding down some of my putty areas and the rescribed areas as well.  Why the rescibed areas?  I just happened to rescribe the Delta Dagger a little too deep, hence the rescribing process.  I used a #11 blade for the scribing.

Now I’m going to attach the canopy and mask that area and take care of any touch ups needed on the fueselage and the delta wings.  Then mask the wheels and start the AB of the Delta Wing.  I’m going with the Airforce motif which will make the F-102A grey.

Thank you fellow forum members for your patience and understanding during my illness.  Although I feel great, the doctors and especially Mrs. Toshi said I need to take it easy and continue my medications and antibiotics  religiously.

Whew! your among the livingBig Smile

You had me worried because you had not been posting and the last I heard Mrs. Toshi was ready to ship your fanny to the hospital.

By all means, get well and take care of yourself, you are needed for Mrs. Toshi and those grandkids, and also to keep us entertained with your build logs.

Blue skies and fair winds my friend.

Toshi,

Nothing, I repeat ..Nothing!... is as valuable to us mortals as is our health.

Rest, recuperate, relax.

The Dagger (and its Dart progeny) will wait until you're strong enough to enjoy building it (and perhaps it's progeny).

We want you well so we can enjoy your works in progress. You're a motivator for many of us here. I certainly appreciate the rate at which you've completed your fine builds but sometimes my head spins thinking about how quickly you do them!

Be well!!

You are so very right, nothing is more important than life.  I definately will “rest, recuperate, and relax.  Your final words humble me.  I’m most honored and humbled.

No worries at all.  I‘m slowly on the mend.  I would like to see if Mrs. Toshi will let me get some bench time.  Maybe later today.  Thank you tempestjohnny for being worried about me, it’s greatly appreciated.

Get better!  I too am sick.  Day 7 of a lung infection.

Heres to health and modeling!

I will keavdog.  Thank you sir.  I’m sorry to hear that you too are ill.  But you seem to be in great spirits with your statement; “Here‘s to health and modeling”!  I on the other spectrum had a really bad episode of dementia and depression.  I was only able to pull myself out of this nightmare due to my love, Mrs. Toshi! I wish you the best of luck keavdog in your recuperation.

To my fellow forum members of FSM,

I’ve been extremely ill for over a month.  I was sick at one point yet instead of resting as Mrs. Toshi explained in that I need to sleep and take some medications so that I could feel better.  Now as her husband and being a man, did I listen?  Of course not!!!

So I continued to build my current aircraft.  And the very next day I got so sick, I could not get out of bed.  These were the words from Mrs. Toshi.  “See!  I told you so but you never listen”!!!

So this illness took me from worst to extremely worst!!!  I could not even get online to the FSM website and do some simple typing.  I lost 10lbs. but that felt great.  Today I’m still recuperating but now that I’m recuperating I was strong enough to do some typing

Mrs. Toshi said if my fever breaks and I eat all of my breakfast, I’ll be allowed to work on my build!  So that’s what’s been going on at the home of the Toshi’s.  Thank you FSM members for your support.  It means a great deal to me!

Your friend, Toshi

P.S.  I must add that Mrs. Toshi is doing excellentl.  Her MRI shows that there are no infections now.  But she is constantly seeing various doctors for ensuring she stays this way.

Here’s something I watched M. Brindos do.  I’m going to copy his technique to the best of my poor abilities as possible.  Instead of spraying just the panel lines black, I AB the entire aircraft black.  The black can be used as a primer as well.

The Black that I utilized was a Vallejo Model Color Black 70.950.  Next up is a Vallejo Acrylic Metal Color Chrome 77.707.  Below is the outcome of my completion of today’s work.

I just assembled the fueselauge to the wings.   Wow, this thing is huge, but  yet I tried to assemble every thing.  No problems at all.

I just finished this same kit.  I built it out of the box.  I also rescribed the fuselage but left the wings with raised panel lines.  The two biggest issues I had where the seams where the wings meet on the bottom and the seam on the one side of the tail.

The intake seams are not too bad.  You can smooth out the inside seam without too much issue.  Overall the build went together well.  Have fun with it!

Oh, I am most honored and humbled that you would offer such information and services to me.  That must be cool to be walking around a F-106.  And thank you for the privilege in giving me the information on the wings and outboard edges of the elevons.

Toshi, I am a big fat liar!  I had a look at my kit today and noticed that I had started to try and fix the wingtip moldings.  I was going to post a photo of the offending area, but saw that the control surface locks had already been scraped off.  Anyway, the locks are those small raised rectangles on the inboard side of the wing fences.

Good luck on your build, and hope that your wingtips don't look like mine!

I'll be watc this one Toshi! I have this kit in the stash, but it's the Encore boxing with all kinds of AM goodies. I can't wait to see what you do with it!

Thank you for the read and reply!  And watching my build and following as well.
