You are a persistent feller. I tip my hat to you.
Watching with interest......
Thanks!if all goes well I think I am entering the home stretch!
Later down the green.next up:masking and painting the invasion stripes.
Looking good, Philo! That nose turned out really good. I know the effort you put into it. If I remember correctly, the "gun nose cone" was way too small....and the gun bay doors being "wonky". Can't wait to see it finished.
Personally and to be honest, I always like Revellogram and other crappy models, I feel like I accomplished something when they are done and look pretty good. Might be just me tho, lol!

Thanks!the funny thing is ...whenI built the P61 I had very little problem with canopy fit!
Philo you indeed are a glutton for punishment! But, WOW!! Great big E for excellence!

philo426 Thanks!the funny thing is ...whenI built the P61 I had very little problem with canopy fit!
I had to add thin styrene strips and clear epoxy to help with the fit.

Looking very nice philo, I like the invasion stripes, those can be a real challenge to get right. I'm curious how you managed with the goofy seam in the fuselage. That same bird has been sitting on my bench for the better part of three years...just sitting. However, your build is inspiring me to perhaps pick it up again. perhaps

The extra weight in front makes it sit real nice. Looking good!

On the workbench: Monogram 1/24 '69 Pontiac GTO and a Monogram 1/67 (box scale) B-26 Invader
looks like it was just about the right weight.
Hmmm.... the invasion stripes placement seems all wrong. They’re usually on the outer wings, not on the nacelles area. Same as on the booms. Too close to the wings.
D-Day invasion stripes should have 5 stripes total - 3 white, 2 black. You painted too many black and white stripes and not correct. Google P-38 Lightning with invasion stripes.
Yes custom job.Really stands out!
Yes should've been painted outboard if the nacelles.Would have been easier too!
Looks cool! Convention be uh, not saved!

Real happy with it!
That's a very difficult build. You did a great job with it.
Your comments and questions are always welcome.
Thanks!
You did a great job with a clearly challenging kit. I've seen enough here to steer me clear of picking this one up. I think you nailed the workmanship very well and it does look quite good indeed.
