I built the 1/72 B-52D when I was a teenager. It was a monster, a 1/48 scale kit would be huge. You'll need a table to display it.

Chasing the ultimate build.

A 1/48-scale B-52 would be impracticably enormous for the vast majority of us. Where would you put the darn thing? Even a 1/72-scale one has a wingspan bigger than my twin bed.

Wasn't there a 1/48-scale B-52 pictured in FSM a long time ago that somebody scratchbuilt?

The Sanger kit in 1/48TH or a polish card kit in 1/33rd off eBay.... Aside from this being a double ressurected zombie thread?

I have seen that Sanger 1/48th BUFF on ebay a time or two several years ago.  If I remember correctly, it sold for around $300 US.  That thing would take up half of a room once completed and you would need a HUGE work bench to build it.

 ,,

The B-52 and me, we have grown old, gray and overweight together.

way back in high school, my friends brother built one.

he hand painted it with the old testors square bottles. It took something like 5 bottles of flat black to brush paint the underside.

the thing was massive. LOL Surprise
