Tell me about it, I'd have fun with all three!  Probably pretty quick builds too...

Ha, Ha I fooled you all. You see, I don't care what kit you vote on because I chose 15 kits that I think I would really enjoy building. Last year I was worried because of a lack of Skill/Confidence in my abilities. With all the help that is posted on this forum from some excellent Bow [bow] modelers, I feel ready to tackle any of these.

Here is my stash of 15.

1/24       mpc Focke-Wulf Fw190a    (a very old kit with all the associated problems)

          1/350     MiniHobbyModels      USS Arizona BB-39

          1/32       Trumpeter               Vought F4U-1D

          1/35       Alanger                   IT-28 Engineering Tank-Bridgelayer

          1/35       Bronco                    Belehpanzer  38H (F)

          1/48       Hasagawa                Messerschmitt  BF109E

1/48       eduard                    F6F-3 Hellcat ( a really beautifully engineered kit)

1/35      Tamiya                     25 PDR, Field gun and Quad gun Tractor

           1/35      AFV Club                   M1126 8x8 ICV Stryker

           1/35      Academy                   M981 FISTV

1/35      Hobby Boss               M4  High Speed Tractor

1/48      Academy                  CH-46E Current U.S. Marines "Bull Frog"

           1/48      eduard                     FW 190A-5

           1/35      Tamiya                     88mm Gun Flak 36/37 (German)

           1/35      AFV Club                   U.S. Army M35A1 Quad-50 Gun Truck

Choose, but choose wisely my little padawans

Tony

Some nice kits in there. I'm tempted by quite a few of them. That old 1/24 FW190 is very tempting though.

Thanks Paul.   To build that monster I think I would have to dabble in decal making. I don't think that the kit decals will stand the test of time.

Gees, Tony, in 1/24 scale you can just mask the main markings.  Lots of good looking stuff in there but as far as I'm concerned you only needed to post the first picture (sorry tread heads).  I feel another cold coming on  Ahh... Ahhh... Ahhizona!!!  Heh heh heh hehhhh!!!

I don't know, the only floaty things I have built are the PT-109 and the Cutty Sark, oh yeah, I forgot the USS Missouri I got for perfect attendence and knowing all my scriptures in Bible school circa 1965.

Tony,

I think that makes three of us that has the Tamiya Quad Gun Tractor in the GB so far... eerie coincidence?

I have heard that if you place yellowed decals in a window where the sun can shine on them then the yellowing will fade...takes a while though. Still won't stop them breaking into a thousand pieces though - as I've found out.

Got to be some replacement decals out there though? Squadron has a set in stock here.

With more 1/24 scale planes on the market my chances are better than they were to find a set. I think I will try the window dressing, I may be able to hold them together with the testors decal fixing spray. That is what I used with another real oldie, it just makes them extra thick.
