I picked up an Entex Model of the Concorde Box says 1:100 scale. I plan on illuminating the interior and possibly the exterior once I find out where the navigation lights are hidden on the wing tips.

well guys i have finally decided what to finish my concorde as. i have dug out some Wardair canada markings and am having to hand paint the striping without masking( so please don't be too critical with it cos it won't be too pretty ) it looks like i may just have enough time to complete it by the end date. pics will be posted shortly.

Hi everyone, not much going on with my model- still waiting for the postman to deliver my canopy. You can see what I've been up to on the helicopter forum while I've been waiting.....

Greg, unfortunately, I do not have much hosting possibilities, so I'd recommend you place your pics onto Ron's gallery, in the upload folder, and link them here into the Group build as well as create a new topic with pics of your completed model for everyone to see. Ron has a Group build folder in his gallery with a subfolder for the Concorde group build but he's the only one who can transfer the images from the upload to that particular Concorde group build folder.

I just purchased a kit from Hobby Lobby at the 1/2 off sale. How much longer is this build going on for, the original deadline was March?

Hi Don and welcome to the build.
over to you with that one Domi (and thanks btw), from what i remember, march was a "soft" deadline so it could be extended (if forum admin is willing). cheers.

Yeah, welcome aboard Don. Deadline? What deadline..?! Was supposed to be 15th of March, if I'm not mistaken, but I'm not worried too much. Mine is 95% completed but will remain so for the next 2 to 4 weeks anyway due to the move, so feel free to build a Concorde and update us here!

Wow, you get a group build badge for the forum too... Cool, I didn't notice the badges until now. Looks like I'll start tonight now that my Dino Dio is completed.

DJ: No problem!

Frosty: Thanks. We are starting to finally settle down after the boxes have been opened and things are getting put into place. It is not a big place but it is a lot bigger than the apartment we used to rent. Need to make some adjustments here and there especially the plumbing but we are loving it. Afterall, it is our own.

I'm on my way. Opened the Revell 1/144 kit last night. Got the side windows glued in and the fuselage and wings together. So now it looks like a concorde, but I still have a ways to go. Judging from the kit, it's much longer and slimmer than I remember. I got to tour and sit in the cockpit of the 4th Concorde built that British Airways had used for Engine testing. The Test equipment was still in the passenger section. But thanks to this group build, I've found new motivation to get off my rear and start building models again.

Thanks for listening.

Hello modelers, new to this website - hope I can join in the fun.

I built a Revell Concorde a few years ago, and am about to complete a second
Revell kit with the newer Airfix decals. Can anybody tell me where decals 33 go?
These are 2 half inch black stripes.
My first Concorde model has the nose raised in-flight position, and my
new one has nose drooped for take-off/landing.

Both will be at Cosford model show tomorrow - so say hello if you see me with them.

Thanks, Tim

Hi Tim and welcome, the decals you mention go on the wing / intake area. not sure of the best way to describe it but if you look at the model from the bottom with the nose up the decals go at the topmost part just at the begining of the intake on the lower wing.if you want use the link at the bottom of this post to send me your e-mail address and i'll send you a pic of the decaling / painting instructions.
hope this helps

I have a JPG of my first Concorde, and wil be taking more photos of both soon.
Let me know how to post them to the forum for everyboby to enjoy.

I did have to modify the windscreen for the droop-nose - which I'll try to describe.

Regards, Tim

hi Tim, if you have a looksee on this site there are quite a few posts on getting your pics on site but in a nutshell you need the pics posted on another site and put in a link to the url of the pic, something like this = http://photopile.com/photos/blackwolfscd/gregers/91159.jpg. (this is the url for the hurricane pic below). put it between these = . (don't include the spaces after the g or it wont work, if i hadn't included them this would have happened = ) yup the dredded red cross in a box LoL. looking forward to seeing those pics.Cool [8D]
hope this helps.

Hi Everyone!

If it's not too late, I am just finishing reproducing Testors decals for their Concorde kit #597 (1:100), in BA and Air France for one of my customers, and could easily print other copies upon request. The decals will be printed with an ALPS printer, with reg's G-BBDG, G-BOAF and F-BVFA, and can be scaled up or down as required.

Incidentally, the main reason I found this forum was because I was trying to find out what the BA motto was in the the tail fin crest on early Concordes.

Regards,

Pete
