Guy- I know what you mean!  I have a CD here "Checkflight Gustav" that is a sound recording of Black 6, from startup to aerobatic flight.  Love turning it WAAAAAY up when I am at the bench, making "VROOM!  VROOM!" sounds. Big Smile [:D]

I'm here!  Been working on the boring stuff this week, filling and smoothing ejector pin marks on the rediator flaps, and depressions on the flaps.  Hopefully, if Hasegawa ever re-tools this kit they will make the flaps two halves so those enormous sink marks are gone. Yuck [yuck]

Thanks Karl. So how is the Pegasus 262? My 109 is definetly not a show winner but I like the fact that it is only $11.00 bucks so I am much more relaxed when I am airbrushing it and adding the details. I'm going to use the kit decals and do the Hartman's tulip nosed White 1. I am hopeing the airbush and decals will look so nice it will draw attention away from some of the kits deficencies.

Here are a couple better cockpit shots I took a little while ago. While sanding the seam on the rear cockpit bulkhead area I removed some of the raised detail. So I will have to cut some sheet plastic to shape and replace it...

... to be continued....

Stikpusher, nice job on the pit.

SC, the 262 is not too bad, fairly crude, but the shapes are right, just like the price.Big Smile [:D] I've started a WIP thread on this build on the AC forum so peaople can see what the Pegasus kits are actually like to build.

Like you I want to focus on the painting and decals not the build, and these kits are great for that.

I have felt Aarons wrath before remember in the Bob GB? As I was building Hurricanes I was being taunted by non other than Herman Goering telling me that the Brits were going to lose the air battle. I survived that I can survive anything. Heck I'm proud to be the teachers pet!

FRANK IS GREAT! LOL!

Frank that is going to cost you another 109 by the way. I can do this all day! LOL!

Sweet Frank. You are going to love it. The thing praticly build itself. I have not built a double winger since I my Classic Airframes Cr 42 strut disater. This kit is definetly one of the best fitting kits on any subject that I have build ever. Very enjoyable. Ok were are the progress pics Frank!

Thanks SC!

Progress pics?  We don't need no stinkin' progress pics! Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

Have been working on the 109's today.  I added some styrene strip to the inside of the lower radiator flaps, as their absense in the kit was quite noticeable.  Filled the sink marks in the flap sections too.  Also installed the radiators, and closed up the wings.  Very slow progress, as doing two at once slows a guy down.

Looking good Frank. You never miss the details. Thats why I always love your builds. I think I am going to try out the new Badger 200NH tomorrow and add the mottling to the G 6. The tiny cup might be a pain but I will be spraying such a small amount of paint it might not be a factor. I will find out tomorrow.

Thanks SC, I appreciate that!  Please do report on your 200NH tomorrow, I'm curious to hear how you like it.  For detail painting, I bet that tiny cup could come in real handy. Thumbs Up [tup]

Nice work on those details Frank.

I'll have to remember to fill those sink marks when I start the G14as.

SC, I've got a Badger 100SG for detail work, with an tiny cup. Works a treat.

Well Frank I am happy to report that the new Badger 200NH works like a charm. The small cup was not a factor because I was using to do fine work and even though it only holds a small amount of paint it was enough. I added the soft edge to the fuselage and the mottling. Still do'nt have exactly the look I want so I am going to go back over it one more time with each color then I will post some pics.

More progress today. I replaced the lost step detail on the rear canopy bulkhead, attached the wings after painting the inner lower surface (just in case someone sees down inside that far), and attached the horizontal stabilizers. Once I get the joints sanded smoothe, I will post more pics. Almost ready for the paint!

Thats cool stikpusher. Looking foward to seeing some more progress pics. Well spent some quality time today with the girlfreind today so not alot of modeling time. I was in an airbrushing mood so I put the Fokker aside and pulled out the 109 and decided have some fun. I took me a couple of times back and forth with both the lightblue and the grayviolet until it looked right to me. Modeling a specific plane is always a PIA. Hartmans G-6 had a weird droop in the camo line under the canopy for some reason on both sides. I have no pictures of any other area of the plane so I went with what I thought it should loook like. Hope you like it.

SC- Very nicely done!  Camo looks spot-on. Thumbs Up [tup]  Looks like that new AB was just the ticket. Approve [^]

I have been working busily on my G-10 this weekend, and hope to have some up later today.  This morning, I finsihed blending the top cowl insert into the rest of the nose.  Lots of filler, sanding, and rescriblng but I think I have it licked. Tongue [:P]

Thank you Karl and Aaron. I am pretty happy with the results.

Frank you are right. That Badger 200NH is a nice little airbrush. It can really draw some very fine lines and it makes it so much easier to do these complicated camo patterns. It does have a tendency to clog because the needle is so fine but thinning the paint a little more than normal and dropping the air pressure helps some. Hope to see some more pics from you soon Frank. Especially some spinner pics!

OK, have a few pics to share!  The cowl insert has been installed and faired in.  I rescribed a tiny line along the joint as my reference photos show a faint line there.  Shot some primer on it tonight, and looks pretty good.  Just need to rescribe a little bit of the line on the port side.  The radiator flaps are painted, and ready to be installed.  The wing received some primer, and now I need to fix a couple of tiny areas then it's ready to be glued on.  Sorry, no spinner pics yet. Sigh [sigh]
