SC, that accident in the picture was probably caused by the driver of the car making a left hand turn in front of the motorcycle.  Somebody did something very similar to my brother many years back.  Bike blew up on imact and threw my brother over the hood of the car.  He was fortunate enough to walk away with a broken arm, singed eyebrows and a melted nylon jacket.

As for that picture I have to ask myself how fast do you have to be going to bury your bike into it like that?

BTW, if you ever come up to Canada watch out for my wife.  She's one of those stop sign creepers. Whistling [:-^]

Dave there was a similar accident that happened when I was working in Ft Lauderdale Fl years ago. A motorcycle hit a minivan in the passenger side door and went into the the van all the way up to the back tire. The impact knocked the minivan on its side and decapitated the bike rider. They estimated he was doing well over 100 MPH when he hit the van. besides killing himself he also killed a small child that was sitting in the front seat as well as the mother that was driving the van, very sad.

The three very nice Breda MG's that were stolen from the SM79 kit have been installed, with ammo feed belts in two of the three positions.

Next is the teak decking on the fuse.

Woo hoo, the Gabbi is definately starting to take shape, my friend. Looking at the build, ive come to the conclusion that being a gunner IN the engine, has to be the worst position to be allocated in a plane EVER. What with the noise, the fumes, the danger of imminent detonation....geez. Youd have to have pissed someone off real bad to get that gig.

Bondo that Gabbi is looking sweet! How are you going to do the teak deak? Guy I do'nt think I would want to sit directly behind the engine either if I had my choice. Actually the nose dose'nt look to inviting either being way out in front would make you a nice target I would thing. Probally no worse than the rear turret gunner on a Lanc. If I remember right the average number of missions a rear turret gunner on a Lanc flew was about five before he was either killed or shot down.

Nah probably just lack of rest. Zzz [zzz] SC!  Been working nutty hours and been attempting to finish models 3 and 4 for the FAA GB.  Wanted to keep about a one done a week rate up but these Limited run kits have proven a bit to demanding for my meager skills to pull that off and keep up with Frank's blistering build pace! Sad [:(]

Really just trying not to sacrifice any quality just say they are finished.  They are coming along though. So far I have an Albacore a Kingfisher and this much of a Skua and Roc done.  The Monogram Kingfisher and the other 3 are Special Hobby PITA kits all in 1/48.

Man even doing 3 or 4 a month a haven't been able to keep up.  I got More RA stuff in the stack as well but time is beating me down!

Think I shall take a nap and dream further fantasies about flying away in a Gabroni Sea Plane. (Atop the engine no doubt)  and meet some friendly native Mediterrean chicks on an exotic shore!

Wow Sarge, the 2 uglies are coming along sweetly. Thats a fair bit of armament in the front one. Quad barrelled .303's? Now that would smart a touch. I see in the background you sorted out a figgie for your halftrack. Methink, he ate all the pies.

Sean looks like it the nice weather has just about everybody off doing something else. I check the forums every night and there has not been much of anything going on hear lately. Poor Guy is out of action due to relocation of his work area. I have been slowly plugging away at my Fokker in the KoTS GB. I am getting ready to start the NMF GB this weekend with a Hispano Ha 1112 "Buchon" in Spanish service. This baby is officially done in 9 days anyway. It was one of my favorite GB so far. Lets give our fearless leader (unless spider our involved of course!) Sir Guy of Bournemouth a big thumbs up for a job well done on his first time hosting a GBThumbs Up [tup]!

Oh your just too kind SC. Ive really loved this GB. Its showed me so many great builds and Ideas as well. B-24 and P-38 in Italian colours. Its not quite over yet so hopefully we'll see a few more builds before the deadline. Which happens to be my Birthday BTW. I am expecting lots of presents. Personalised jewelery would be good (Frank).

Dead line smedline! Don't you all read the rules!!!!!! Rules must be obeyed! The End date is simply because our fearless charasmatic leader wished us remind us of his B-day! As he is too modest to remind us openly! I don't know bout you'all but I got a bunch of RA kits left in the stack that need attention and I'd just asoon build them here as anywhere!  I just can't churn them out as fast as Guy does!   Look for more builds right here I say!  Some things are just to good to end. It may slow down but it will pick back up as we gotta keep our intrest rotating! This was a sorely needed GB! Too long in coming and a fine one with a good Group leader who set the example by building and building and building some more!  Difcult no often seen stuff too! Looking at Page one!  Can't say iI have seen a finer bunch of fellows and work!  There is no real ending to such an event.

Perhaps Frank you could convince Guy to do as you did with KOTA!  Look out for RA! part 2! ACK!!!!Shock [:O]

Aaron that is an excellent idea! Mabye after Guy gets his new workshop set up we can start all over agian. I have at least 20 other WWII Regia Aeronautica planes in the stash. I think we definetly have to do a part II. Or Guy could always just extent the deadline. I would build at least one more Macci 202 or 205 and mabye even one of those scary ones like a Cr32 or Ro 37. We have such a great group of people here lets keep it going. Anybody else feel the same way?

Oh guys....Im feeling the love. And liking the comparison to Franks GB. I think the optivisor wearing, styro stand using, God like modelling Bohemoth, has nothing to fear from our little GB.

I have increased the Deadline to next year now and ammended the front page a little. Im glad you all liked the idea of this GB. I know i did. It really grabbed me. Enough to make me only want to model Italian stuff. I have been ably helped by everyone in the GB but Aaron, your help and loonacy has gone above and beyond, soldier. Do you think you might stick around a little longer? Would ya? would ya? Ill lend you Wingus and Dingus for the weekend.

As for my modelling for the near future. Its on temporary hold. But i WILL be back!! Hopefully sooner rather than later.

All that said, lets get your models moving. Theres no rush now. So keep having fun.

Oh, 1000 ninja points for every new recruit brought to the GB.

As a humorous sideline, i went to my friend Big E's house the other day. 'E' is a confirmed gun nut and has several deac's and PFC type weapons PFC's are plug fire caps. They are replica guns that fire just like the real thing. The main difference is that the bloody things jam like gooduns. But they give you a glorious grin when they do fire. See my grin LOL, The gun below is a Mac 11, it jammed all day but when the thing did fire it squirted out about 7 rounds in the blink of an eye.

This second gun was the great MP40. Jammed the 1st time but 2nd was the charm,

Wow that was to easy! A whole nother year to build RA planes! Now my only problem is what to chose for my next build! I managed to find the 1/48 Hasegawa G-4 in the RA markings last month. I also picked up another 1/48 Hasegawa Macchi C202 and a C205 in ANR markings. Besides all of the 1/48 Classic Airframe kits I have like the    SM 79 Ro 37  Fiat G 55 Fiat Cr 32 Reggiane 2001 and 2001 night fighter version! Man its going to be hard to pick which one to build first.

Guy those videos are great! LMAO! Especially when the Mac 11 finally fired and you jumped like a spider had just landed on you!  I just picked up a Mauser 98K from a dealer that had found a couple of crates of them. They were manufactured in 1944 in the Chech Republic and were never  issued so there basicly are new. They have been clean up and are ready to go. I am just waiting on the paperwork then its off to the rifle range. There will definetly be alot of 7.92 ammo going down range this summer!

Ok now which kit am I going to start first?! Man this is going to be on my mind all day until I figure this one out.

Well with all due respect this is a drunken rabble sir and they need a little discipline. Here's the shot I took of you at the BBQ at my house this last weekend.

Mind you, the men will do a 180 quickest and become cobelligerents before you know it.

Might I suggest the deadline stands, but in fact you inaugurate an RA GB II. That would be a fine thing, and would serve notice to the 1000's who are watching, and believe me they are, that you mean business, and the Empire marches forward?
