I agree, I'm not too terribly happy with this new gig. I used the drop down menu that used to be at the bottom right corner of the bottom of the page to get back anf forth to th erecent post in my forums and it's gone now too!!!!!!! Now you have to go round your thumb to get to the preverbial!!!!! AND it's slower!!!   (soapbox and 2 pennies would have went here)

I am so disappointed in the FSM staff for doing that. So many of use pleaded with them to leave it alone. I left a nasty message about it being as ig a success as changing the Flavor of Coke. Then I went to Kalmbach Publishing and canceled my subscription and threated to not renew the other 12 mags I have thru their company as gifts and such.  Speak with the wallet you know as they don't seem to listen to reason.

Left a good note their as well. Then left messages with Squadron , Great Models. Sprue Bro's, Hannant's, and Hobby Link Japan that I would not be buying anything else from them until they ppulled their advertising from such a company that refuses to listen to their customers. Figure I'll see you fellows on another forum with a staff that has some common sense.
 See ya'll around.

You have got to be kidding. Take a valium like a normal person, drink a pint of JD. If you are not at watch at 8 bells of the morning watch Saturday, I'll put you up for demotion to livestock husband.

My friend Aaron has been hijacked, no doubt.

Well Bondo looks like Sarge had really got his knickers in a twist! I to do not like alot about some of the changes but I hope by posting enough about what needs to be done to make it a little more user freindly we can get them to make some changes. We really have a great bunch of people hear and I would hate to see us get scattered due to some poor decisions in the format of the forum. I really hope we can work through this and get back to glueing plastic agian. Mabye Guy can talk the Sarge down and get him back hear. I do understand his point somewhat. This forum only exists due to the fact that we pay money for the mag. Because of this I do believe we should have some input on its make up within reason. I still can not forgive them for ditching my pirate smiley though!:spank:

No Pirate smiley, thats it, thats just not right. Hey its taken me a day just to get this far on the new setup. Every time I try to get in it tells me its offline. I too am not to happy with the new setup but then again I dont like change much. Easier to navigate, I dont think so. Its been a pain so far. But like most things I will adapt and overcome and conquer. Aaron buddy, dont be too hasty we are all in the same boat here and it will take time. Now, how do I post this and how do I post pics is my next challenge.

Steve.

Hope you guys get this

Oh Geez, whats happening. Is it just me or does everything take an age to do anything? Im awfull with change, and this is big change. Crusher, im glad youve got the camera and look forward to seeing what you do with it...i only hope there are people still on here to see it.

I dont believe that Aaron's doing a runner. It sounds like hes really p1ssed.  Id pm him but i reckon hes not going to be reading his PM's for the forseable future. I hope i have his email address.

Ive not checked but ill bet the main forum is up in arms. Oh the humility and humanity of it all. And wheres te Pirate smiley!!!

My main pc, has packed up. My card reader for my camera isnt working and we had a lifeline thrown for the house we were going to buy...only for it to be pulled away again. Geez, what else can go wrong.

If you see Tiger Woods coming down your driveway, run him over. Sarge is around, he's just torqued.

I am severely tweeked abt my cousin Billy Bones being deleted. I'm inclined to build my own icon library at this point, the ones on FSM are so...boring.  Did make a discovery on gmail the other day which is an icon of a pile of poop w/ flies. You've seen it in my emails...

Well, i need his email and phone number if anyones got it.

Heres where i am with the JU, the glazing has gone on but i will try to fill the edges a little at a later date,

Next up for a little work was the U/C legs. I hollowed out the scissors which gave them a much better and more accurate look,

i also added brake lines,

after the U/C was done i could then attach it to the wing. (Very funny build sequence from Revell). Here she is all assembled with a 1/72 109 for size comparrison,

Guy - That looks great... I'm impressed with it!

And Mr Bondo found Michael's pirate... HOORAY!!!   (no party emoticon to insert)

This one post has been a day in the making. I can't get into this forum for some reason and I don't like it. I have progress pics of the Cr floater but I'm too discouraged to post them.

I hope Aaron comes around... I really look up to him and you other clowns that decided to recruit me here with your violence and sideways talkin and such.

I am going to leave things alone for now and when the site pics up or becomes useful, I will post some pics for you.

(no useful "sad" emoticon to insert)

Guy the 290 is looking spendid! What a beastie! I hope you have lots of the correct RLM colors on hand when it comes time to paint.

Jeremy if you remember correctly it was I who found you like a lost puppy wandering aroung the forums and took you in. I knew you had the skills and the twisted sense of humor to fit right in with the rest of the group. You are now a part of this looney group of plastic glue paint snifing master model makers. It would'nt be the same without you here.:chairfall:

If no one has Sarge's email or tele I have his addy. No way were letting him go. Drop me a message if you need it.

Michaels pirate my a**. He's a relative, thank ye' very much. Of course Crush is my cousin.

Wots that funky looking stamp/ pawn deal under my expiration green bar thing?

Here's the latest from the Junk Yard. JU-52 D-ALYL that carried the Olympic torch from Athens to Berlin in 1936. She's 1/72 Revell rebox of the Italeri kit, which is a nice one. Decals from Phantasy Print Shop in the UK, who I highly recommend.

This makes six engines so far, Herr Guymaster. The next six gonna be AWESOME!!

I talked to Aaron this morning in between rounds with the snowblower- 20 inches of snow, AAACCCKKK!!!

He is very upset about the forum changes, and I do not blame him one bit.  Checked out a new forum, and after 2 minutes was able to navigate there easily.  These changes here &*$%!

I have his email and phone number, Guy I would conversation it to you (that just doesn't sound right) but you never read them anyway LOL.

Hey fellas, man is it quiet on here.  I keep checking back, and nothing but crickets....

As for my Regia build, it has been slow to no progress.   Life has been getting in the way.  My mustang died, and I had to buy another car.  It will live again though, it just took a lot of trouble shooting to find the problem.  I'm have some mechanical inclination, but the electronics on the other hand....

Guy, you inspired me again.  Your Ju-290 is so cool, that I had to have one.  Thankfully, my lhs had a buy two get one free sale, so I bought the SM-81, an Eduard Bf 110C, and got the Ju for free!  I had to hand the SM81 over to my girlfriend, and so I don't get to see it again till Christmas.  And thanks to Guy's Book Club Suggestions, I have been reading "Courage Alone", and I thought the RA Bf 110 nightfighters were cool.  Owl makes the decals, so I'm in business with that!

My S79 is almost ready for paint, and I have a little friend for it, that will be painted the same colors.  It is a little 1/72 Re 2001.  As much as I have dropped the S79, I hope that my bad case of the dropsies is over.

Hi Greg, i have a feeling that this GB is going to be a bit quiet from now on.

Due to all the changes that FSM have done and that noone appears to like it very much, theyve all jumped ship, myself included. Im checking back once in a while to see if any of my mates on this GB have made an appearance.

If your happy with the new look site, then all i can do is wish you all the best. But if like the rest of us, and theres quite a few, you find the new look site, slow and awkward and not what you originally liked about the site, then come over to Swannys website at www.swannysmodels.com The gang are all there and youll feel at home in no time. Come on Greg, we need you LOL.
