Thanks fellows you are to kind as everyone here is such a talent it is always a learning experience!

Mikester! Long time no see! Excellent progress on the 109 I really have thought about those kits but were afraid they might be to toy like. I can't see it in your pictures though.

My bench has been kinda busy today. Got a whole bunch of odd stuff in progress.

Two swordfish , the Now finished Gladiator and the blue thing is the odd package my Gladiator prop was sent in. Confused [%-)] Of note is the MC 205 kit I have been working on hidden in pics but no one noticed.  It is the old 1/48 Tauro kit which is kinda a bear on clean up and fit issues but I am managing.  Haven't done too much out the way with it just keeping it simple as to keep my feet wet so to speak.

 Zing!

Where the hell is the 'Jaw dropping' icon when you need it? Aaron, I was once accused of building fast. Man, were they kidding or didnt they know you? You are a machine, my friend. It was only Sunday wasnt it when you were telling me about your 1/144 Avenger, and here it is now done. With the Swordys on the go, where did you get the time to knock out a 202. Theres figures in there as well. They dont go quickly (Well mine dont anyhoo).

When im Older (A lot Older LOL) I want to be you.

Hey thanks Guy! That 1/144 kit is the SB2C Helldiver like what Chuk made in 1/48 only better. Wink [;)] Like  Richie said it stood for SOB 2nd class.  It just turned up on my doorstep  seems someone with a strange sense of humor used it to package the 2 bladed Hamilton prop I need to finish my Gladiator. Mischief [:-,]Pirate [oX)]

Been trying to create some figures for the 1/32 Trumpeter Swordfish. Like you say guy it is slow going making something from nothing But I'll find a way.

That's the Tauro 1/48 MC 205 another older kit that was way overproced even when it was new.  The Hasegawa kits are far superior. How did you know I was working on the Hasegawa MC 202 as well?  Jeeze your physic!

Aaron- That's a lot of splendid work, how DO you do it? Confused [%-)]

Has anyone seen this kit release, or is it old news?

I think Aaron has hs own little stash of elves helping him turn out all of that great work. He is running circles around me! He even snuck a Macchi 202 in there too!

Frank that looks like a new kit to me. I have not heard of that one before. The only 1/48 Re2000 kit produced so far was the Classic Airframes kit that I build for my first entry. I doubt very highly this is a reboxing so I am assuming it is new. I might have to check this one out. I do not understand the Re 2002 designation?  It looks like a Re 2000 to me. The Re 2001 was the Damlier Benz engine version of this plane. I have never seen this designation of Re 2002.

I started my 1/48 Classic Airframes Fiat G 55 tonight by mixing up the color for the wheel wells and cockpit areas. It is a really weird color. It looks like a cross between zinc chromate yellow and zinc chomate green. I would decribe it as sour apple green. The intructions call it Fiat primer green. I used pictures of the restores G 55 that I found to mix up the color and match it. Now I have to decide what to do with the wheel wells. The kit gives you two crappy injected molded pieces that upon doing research and finding actual pictures of the wheel wells are not even close to what the real thing looks like. I am surprised because every CA kit I have ever build has always had beautifull resin inserts for the whell wells. The spinner supplied with the kit looks like someone punched it in the nose. Thankfully the Fujimi kit I threw agians the wall last year had a nice prop and spinner and it fit perfectly on the nose. This is going to be a mostly scratch build kit as all of the external detail parts are horrible or just completly inaccurate. It should be fun!

Man I really want the Special Hobby 1/48 Fiat G 55. She is suppose to be a real cracker. I am trying to be good as I am in between jobs right now and try to keep from depleteing my savings account. Both of those kits are are hard to resist seeing as I have really caught the Regia Aeronautica bug. I recently sold my 1/32 Academy F-16 with a bunch of Meteor and Black Box resin on eBay for $125.00 bucks because I no longer wanted it but I put that money away in the saving account. It hard when you do'nt have a better half to tell you why you should not buy another kit because you still have 200 other kits in the closet. I know what you guys would say! Lets see if old Sarge cracks first. If he get them then I will have to also. Even if I have to do some odd work to get the money. I have already been eyeing the stash for other kits that I might want to let go but the F-16 was the only one that stuck out. I might have to go through my large stash of car parts to look for some expensive stuff to sell for model money. Alot of the stuff is brand new still in the box. I just never got around to putting them on the cars!Blush [:I]

Mike, the 109 is looking groovy mate. I love the extra detail that your putting in. Really giving me the itch to get cracking on the Veltro. My main prob at the mo is im working all the time. My next day off is Tuesday!!! Yes im  working on a sunday...BOOOOOO.

Out of interest, what did you use to fill the holes in the wing and the fuz. My plan was going to be styrene discs and superglue with maybe a splurge of filler to finish.

...Guy

Guy, I glued in the supplied plastic plugs and then coated them with Tamiya white putty, followed by Mr. Surfacer 1200.  It took several attempts to get them smooth.  I was a little careless when I glued the plugs in, I think if I would have ensured that they were closer to the surface it would have made things easier.  I think your disc idea might be a better plan.

Aaron, good to see you back!  How about some close up pictures of that Macchi!!??

The 21st CT kits are kind of strange, a blend of some great detail and compromises made for unskilled labor (kinda like me) to put together.  The 109's shape appears to be spot on and the surface detail is very nice, I paid $4 for the kit at Wal-Mart so it's giving me a lot of bang for the buck.  I just picked up their Ju 87B (for $5.50) and it's even better than the 109, I'm going to have build a new display case to handles these beasts though!

Actually Frank I'm just winding him up a bit! I should have known old Sarge already had the 1/48 Special Hobby G 55! I to have put myself on a self impossed buying plan. Like I said I actually sold an expensive non replaceable kit with OOP Meteor and Black Box resin. If you want I will buy that 1/48 G 55 from you Sarge to free up some of your floor space. Drop me a PM if you want to.

Actually Bondo this one is painted Verde Anticorrosione FS34558 in the cockpit and wheel wells. I found a good walkaround online that showed the correct shade so I could mix it up myself. here is a pic.
