I have one build in 1/48 scale and two more in the stash. One of them is the original Trimaster with loads of metal and photo-etch and a monster decals sheet.

Guy, if you're really interested in a 1/32 Ta 152 check out Jerry Rutman's as well:

 http://www.jrutman.com/gallery/gallery.html

(scroll a ways down)

The PCM has some shape issues with the nose, probably goes together easier than the Rutman though since the latter is all resin.

Well I did see in the latest Squadron catalogue that the Mach 2 Martin Seamaster is marked down from $ 119 to $ 79. I'd say that's a steal at that price. Of course I have three Mach 2 kits in the stash, so unfortunately I'm out, but an agressive bidder might just get a great deal. Oh man, all i need now is a UK supply of Jerry Rutmans gear. That Ta 152H or C has my name written all over it.

Crusher, that 155 is the bomb. I instantly went to Hyperscale to check one out. What a strange looking beasty. Is that a resin kit too?

Guy the Special Hobby G 55 is not a full resin kit just a short run but according to the reviews much better than the Classic Airframes kit I am building now. So It looks like I am building two G 55's thanks to Sarge's generosity and a 109 so far. Man I am in for three build alreay. It a good thing I have almost a year to build them!

A quick update before I pop open a beer and man the BBQ.  Beer can chicken, pork baby back ribs and a cold Newcastle...life is good!

OK, I have been plugging away on this thing, for a kit that's supposed to be kind of a "slammer" I'm spending a lot of time on little things.

Wheels wells all painted up, came out OK, but not entirely happy with the end product.

I made the storage box cover and hinge out of plastic stock.  A little blurry, sorry!

No master compass cover or oil fill cover so these had to be scribed.

Dropped landing and radiator flaps, had a real tough time getting these cleaned up and looking (somewhat) satisfactory.  Learned some lessons that will make the next one go smoother (I've got 7 of the 109F's in the stash, early war 109 GB anyone?? Laugh [(-D])

Ready for some paint tomorrow, Happy Independence Day folks, be safe!!!

Looks like your having alot of fun with that kit. Did you say you have seven of the same 21st Century kits?  If you get a couple more you could have your own squadron.

Oh Happy 4th of July All. Fireworks woke me up.  Had a bit of a computer mishap as my wireless server computer fried out suddenly so I apologise for my absense.  Went and bought a new router and it took all the time I had between work shifts figuring out how to get it going and networking things. Grumpy [|(] Man it is amazing how much that stuff changes in just a year. Dunce [D)]

That 21st century kit looks just great to me. I should look for some. I think sometimes I enjoy the less pricey ones the most because of the imagination you can put into them.

Sending you a PM SC!  Was in the middle of answering you when my internet pooped out.

PM received and answered there Sarge! I hate it when my internet poops out. I feel like I have been disconnected to he outside world. I spend more time on the computor than I do watching TV because its more entertainting. Now if I can just get my butt over to the workbench and get started on something.

I forgot to say it earlier fellows but 'Happy Independence Day'

Mike the 109 is looking great, mate. Does it come with separate flaps? Or did you scratch them yourself? Either way the detail your putting in is fantastic. I see the windshield glass looks a little thick. I read on Hyperscale, i think that on the 109 you can use vacformed glass and it fits spot on. Only an idea for a future build. Im going to look into it when i start the Veltro, though if your going for a closed pit, i spose it doesnt really matter.

Aaron, sory to hear of you PC woes. Tell me about it. Im using Geri's, son's, girlfriends laptop and its going like a missle. No delays or anything, and its wireless. I think on mine id still be trying to open up my emails now.

Hopefully...i say hopefully. Ill be able to get to the bench tonight and start attacking something. Its been a while for me...this kits, they come with instructions and glue, right? Its been a while.

Guy, I cut out the flaps myself.  Yes, the glass is really thick.  On the plus side it's nice and clear and free of distortions.  I may go the vac-u-form route when I do the Friedrich.

Well, sterling work Mike.

Put the flags out all, ive broken sprue on the veltro! Yey me. On examining the Veltro, ive come to the conclusion that the LG is Shite. Soooooo, im going to build it with the LG doors shut and 'IN FLIGHT' Yes, a 1st for me. In flight means I have to have a pilot...Another 1st for me. I know this is all rubbish without pictures so ill get a couple to show where i am tommorow.

Keep it up kids.

Well I guess if you have started Guy I better make my way over to the workbench tonight and finally start the G 55. I have no good excuse besides just being lazy the last week or so since I finished the Fokker. The workbench has been naked fo almost a week now! The only  thing I have managed to get done is mix up the weird color for the cockpit and wheel wells. Looking foward to seeing that Macchi Guy. I also have another Special Hobby G 55 coming from that super duper good guy Aaron to go along with the Classic Airframes kit. Now all I need is a good kick in the rear to get me moving!

Small update for tonight. I managed to get a good start on the Classic Airframes G 55 last night and tonight. I have the resin interior all clean up and painted. Test fitting shows the fit should be pretty good. I also installed the wheel well inserts and got the wings closed up. Alot of detail parts are going to be used from the spares box as the kit parts are horrible. So far I have replaced the tailwheel and the very inaccurate exhaust manifolds from the spares box. here is where I am at so far.

Great start Crusher. You must have an awesome spares box. Mines an old model box, so as you can imagine theres not a lot in it LOL.

Heres where i am at the mo, not a lot to show really but its a start. Ive not gone crazy at all on the inside on the cockpit because, as youll see, when the pilots in, you dont see a lot,

The molding on the figure is fantastic. I only hope i can do it justice.

SC! That looks good to me! I like the look!  Guy hehehehehehe!  Oh sorry... HAHAHAHAHAHA!

No it's nothing much The pilot just reminded me of Frank with an Upset tummy!  Probably cuz Dave fed him some bad Canadian Bacon bean dip or such. His fault you know. There is no cure as Bondo has surely drank all the medicinal rum!

SC, excellent work on the pit.

Guy, so far so good.  I got to say though that those rudder pedals are incredible? Shock [:O]  Like you say though, once the pilot is in they won't be seen.

As for Frank and his upset stomach, I think he did it on purpose hoping for a visit from the nurse! Wink [;)]  Had nothing to do with the back bacon!  Must have had something to do with that moldy Wisonsin cheese.

Thanks everyone for the input on the cockpit. How about that color! I would describe it as a puke green. Mabye from Franks upset stomach?!Big Smile [:D]

Guy the detail on that pilot figure is real sharp. Did it come with the kit? I suck at painting figures to. I have 3 huge spares boxes. One for armor one for airplanes and another for cars. I have been glueing models together since I was 7 and I'm 43 so I have really accumulated alot of stuff. I have one box full of nothing but underwing droptanks and bombs. I also strip all of my old builds that are damaged in moves and such for any usefull parts. I believe in recyling.Big Smile [:D]

LOL I'd be willing to say he just wants to see the nurse again!!!!! Like you could blame him????Mischief [:-,]

Guy, Excellent work so far on the pit and I agree with you, I haven't seen that clear a moulding of a figure in a long time!!!! With the pilot in the office it looks like one of those aircraft that you strap on rather than get into!!!!

LOL!  You guys are killing me. Laugh [(-D]  I think it was the Canadian bacon, moldy Wisconsin cheese, stale beer, torpedo juice, and Texas chili shake I had for dinner that did it! Yuck [yuck]
