Frank, forgive me please for being uninformed, but remind me of the subject, era and force. ANR? RA?

BTW I figured out how to make an inferior version of the Daywalker paint stand using a styrofoam cooler top, and toothpicks. Works well, too. Truth. Thanks, bud.

Bill-

Let me be the first to congratulate you on being the first to post on page 100, AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!! Pirate [oX)]

This is an RA ME-109G-6, of 365 Squadriglia.  Unfortunately, I lost the one reference photo I had of this aircraft so I am loosely basing the camo pattern on another machine from that squadron, as it is quite similar.

Glad you found that paint stand tip useful, too bad I couldn't sell you one of my handmade units. Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

Thank you soulcrusher, I'm in the process of deatiling the office and wheelwhells and am short on reference (I do the best I can).

Here's my mc202 a couple of weeks ago, right now it's dullcoated and is waiting on it's gunsight. When that's done I can complete the cockpit and finish all other stuff that needs my attention.

I think you got ripped off. The details on this project really look like they came from Hot Topic store in the mall. All USA.  The PE garters look Victoria Secret to me, and the cigarette looks like it was created by Phillip Morris rather than a traditional Italian Cigar.

The Iron work on the door is distinctly Victorian Iron works from a Pennsylvania furnace and the Mohagany door seems to have the properties of a mill in  Alabama.  Nope don't think you can pass this one off as Italian without some serious modifications. If you need any help or tutoring let me know. I have vast experience in such conversion kits.

It was more of a pun really, she's not supposed to be italian but what the hey? And there's no need to modify anything, lots of different models to choose from where I liveWhistling [:-^]

Yowzers, 100 pages eh? God can we gab or what.

Frank, the 109 is coming along sweetly. When i saw your reference plane, i thought that was yours! And youd finished. Mine still taunting me. I mat have to use those pesky xtracrylics paints for my 74/ 75/ 76.

Aaron, i love the alternative Group Build badge. Im actually wearing my 'Its all Daves fault' T. Is there anyone in the modelling fraternity that you havent sent some of your lovin too?.... and to think, I thought i was your 'special one'..sniff sniff. LOL., but as so many people have said, you are one in a million, and a worthy owner of the, one and only, 'Good guy award'. If ever you need something from this side of the pond, and that goes for all of you. Drop me a PM. Ill do what i can.

Mike, great work on the 109. Like Frank, ive already squirelled away another choice titbit of info on building the things. All those ppl who say you build too many, havent a clue.

Well im off to paint the veltros belly. Wish me luck.

...Guy

p.s, as an aside, some may know that my modelling has been slightly cut down due to packing for a move...well we've had an offer on the house and, she's accepted! This may mean, depending on the time it takes to go through this rigmoral, that my modelling may slow even further, for which i wholeheartedly appologise. The worst thing is, I dont want to move!

Hi folks!

I'm searching high and low after any pics on the gunsight in early mc202folgores,it's wery annoying not to find any reference! And btw, how did the seat belts (correct term?) look in their fighters?

Hi Voidses, are you building you 202 for this GB. I do hope so. If so, Kit? Scale? Manufacturer? so i can add you to the front page. Were all pretty friendly here, so as long as you can gab for England (Or the States), you more than welcome....You never know Aaron my even send you something LOL.

As for the San Gorgio gunsight fitted to the Mc 202, there was an early, middle and late version. I think Crushers depiction was of a middle, but would probably do. Anyhoo, heres all three for you to choose,

 Early.

 Middle.

 Late

Hope that helps,

Hey Guy I thought you were the only one allowed to rabbit for England? Even if you do cheer for Manchester.Big Smile [:D]! I would congratulate you on the sale of the house but if you did'nt desire to move in the first place I guess the point is mute. You have to keep the missus happy though. Mabye in the new place you will have a better and bigger place to build.

Frank I would purchase one of your high end paint stands in a second but am real fond of airbrushing my hand along with the model as I hold it. Its kind of my style.I cut the acrylics with alcohol mostly and they dry to thetouch so fast by the time I have airbrushed one end of the model I can usally handle the model to paint the other half without leaving any marks on the paint. I wear latex gloves while I handle the model to be sure not to leave any fingerprints on the fresh paint and it keeps all of the paint overspray off of my hands for less clean up afterwards.

I layed on the putty last might and roughed it out before it dryed completly. Tonight it will be sanding stick all night long as I try to make all the seams nice and pretty and rescribe the lost detail. mabye even a pic!

I would be more than happy to do a instructional video but I gave my video camera away last year to my freind. It was'nt getting much use and it was already about 5 years old. I never replaced it. I could borrow my sisters camera. I never did get a chance to do my video the first time like you other guys did either for the same reason. I could kill two birds with one stone. I'm not sure though you all might get envious when you see how hansome I am!Big Smile [:D]

OK, masked off the upper wings tonight and sprayed the white, also "painted out" the areas where the German crosses and such were.  I ended up using Tamiya XF-24 as it appeared pretty close to what I needed, and it was also close by. Blush [:I]  I removed the masking, and NOW she is getting that RA feel about her.

Frank that 109 is looking great. The mottle on the fuselage side came out perfect. Really looking foward to seeing it with the markings on it.

Guy you have done some nice work on that 205 for not haveing all of your resources at hand. I have alot more work to do before I get to start laying down the camo. I might have to switch this G 55 to the ANR german type camo and build the Special Hobby kit in the ANR splinter camo.

I'm going to go visit my sister to see if I can borrow her video camera for a bit. She only lives about two miles away so I can just run down and pick it up without to much fuss. Then I shall provide all of you with a nice little video of my humble abode and work area. I do'nt know if it will be anywhere near as good as Frank mowing his lawn in his optivisor but I will try to make it interesting. Just be prepared to see one ruggedly hansome fellow in it!

I did not manage to get anything done on the G 55 last night due to feeling crappy. I plan on catching up tonight though.

Im sure it will be Oscar winning, but dont compare it to the Franksters 'STILLS'!!!! We're still waiting for a movie from the optivisor wearing Genius.

Hey ho, everyone. Ive been a busy beever today. As well as looking at a couple of properties, (One of which looks fairly promising) Ive managed to get the decalling done. They are a bit flimsy but went done reasonably. Set and sol'd them and left em for a couple of hours. Ive just come down after giving the whole lot a squirt of future. I managed to find a good supply of that stuff BTW and squirrelled away 4 bottles. They have more which i may go back and have as well.

So, this time tommorow, she'll be done. Im working a late 'straight through' tonight. 6-midnight, so i doubt ill get anything done when i get in.

Just keeping you lot informed LOL.

My mc202 build is strolling along nicely, the camo is on and looks fine exept a few rough spots that will need a little care. I tried using soft masks first time ever and it turned out great IMO.  Looking forward to see more of all your work everyoneSmile [:)]
