 I am still officially on step zero!  This thing is actually reminding me of one of Chuks builds. A little bit every week... Still faster than I have seen some Corsairs completed over at the FAA.

Nice 234, Aaron!  That Hobby Craft kit doesn't look too bad. The Grief is going to be awesome to say the least!

Sean is building another big one and looks like Mr. Bondo takes the multi-cake! Wow is that thing big! I gotta say though, you always seem to find the planes that are very appealing to the eyes... kinda like my handsome mug!

I hope your lordship Guy will accept my puny two engine bird for his sub group build.

On another subject I was looking at a 20 yr old Scale Modeler yesterday on a write up about the "Mavis"  after seeing how well yours turned out and reading about one - I might have to pick one up now..

Sarge as you can see all of this clean living did'nt do me a spit of good did it! The only good thing was all of my pals new I did'nt drink so I was always invited to all of the parties to be the designated driver! Plus while they were all drinking up it was much easier to for me to chat up all of the women while they were acting like fools.

Guy I will take you up on your offer for some of that spendid tea. Knowing how serious you chaps are about your tea I am sure it is some of the best around! Do they knight Irishmen in England? Aaron, that Grief looks excellent. I so need one of those. All that resin and extra goodies. Your making me jealous and that just wont do. I bought the etched set for my JU. A bit pricey but i feel it will be worth it. The jug is on its final finishing. Ill post a pic here 1st, as always.

Crusher- good to see you out and about my friend, hope your meds are able to even you out a bit.  Now, stop going to the hospital and scaring us like that!  Pretty soon, the Sarge is gonna drive up to CT to keep a close eye on you!

Guy- Good save on the decals, and thanks for the warning on the Barracuda Decals.  I nearly bought some for a Spitfire, but will not now.

Aaron- Excellent work on the -234, cool camo for sure!  I don't believe that I have seen the 4-engine version built up before.  Love that Greif too!  I shall watch for your progress on that one.  

Sean- You are making steady progress on your Condor!  Office is looking sweeeeet!

Thanks Sean. It has taken alot of years and many stressfull situations in my life to frazzle my nerves. I've seen alot of bad stuff in my day and it all slowly catching up with me now. I'll get better with some meds and some time I'm sure. Besides is'nt being a little crazy one of the requirements to be in this GB?

Sarge believe it or not I do not even drink coffee. Never had a cup in my life. I do'nt smoke or drink either. I do love my tea like our fearless leader though. Herman does look quite worried though does'nt he. Tell him not to worry I will kick his rear any day.

Richie thanks for the welcome back buddy. Just posting with all of you here makes me feel much better already. Now if I finish the 262 and it comes out sweet then I will be very happy.

 Sure is Steve. There are two releases by MPM of this kit. I would def recommend getting the High Tech version as the extras are well worth the little extra in price. Can't buy all that stuff for the price diff.

 Also CMK Models offers 3 sets as a detail improvement.  There is an engine set, an undercarrage set and an armanment set which is basically an empty bombbay. There website sells them for around $50 each. So $150 is a little rich for my blood I am afraid and the work already involved in this kit is formidable.  Get this there is two pages of step zero.  Yep step zero to get you ready for step 1? Jeeze what have I jumped into?  Resin clean-up and PE!  Extc!  A build after our greatatcious and mojoliness leader's heart!  You know before he used  liquid cement for decal set and such. ..... second thing that goes they say...

I am Glad to see you back on the grid. We were getting a search party and needed gear to do a rescue mission.  Frank delayed us as he needed to paint a new spiral on Charlene. I offered to bring a snow shovel in case we needed it but those old guys and their machines voted that idea down.

 No pressure from us for you to get back on the 262..  Although if your hands are still shakey Sarge might contract you to paint his Grief as it has a scheme for that crazy squiggle design .

Hey boys! Just wanted to drop in and let everyone know I'm still kickin'! Had a bunch more tests done and the Doc says I'm good on all of the really bad things. Apparently my nerves are a bit frazzled so I need some meds to calm me down and some rest. My stomach was churning out acid like crazy and tearing itself up that is why I was in so much pain. Hopefully these meds will even me out and get me going agian. Thank you everyone for the good whishes. I really appreciate it.

Once agian I leave for a bit and you crazy people are at it agian. Old Sarge has cranked out another multi engine subject in a couple of days and Guy has taken to using liquid cement as a decal solvent? I had to read back 4 pages just to figure out what was going on. Hopefully my hands will be steady enough by this weekend so I can get back to the bench and building with you nuts agian! My 262 masks are here and I am really looking forward to laying some paint down on it.

What a Kit ! This one might take you all weekend  and a day. Oooh I like the Two tone green scheme.....

I am really going to like seeing this one being built... Think it will fit in the Booth ?

 I think Guy did a similar  color for his 262 build. The red came from the Revell Germany kit box art.  The silver to represent the  high maintenance those  engines demanded.

 It  does grab my attention. Might try one of the pro-modeler or the Revell kit someday as it seems to have a much deeper and more accurate detail.

 Speaking of detail I was able to find the He -177A-5 Greif

This kit is really something else. Big!  Has lotsa resin replacement parts. Lots.... It's own mask set and everything you would expect from the Hi Tech kit claim.

 The Profiles are neat.

And the instructions are a thick booklet! You can see the high parts counrt and the amount of parts replaced with the resin castings which are really good quality. Got those  guided missles included as well which was mentioned

This is no weekender for sure!  The pit itself has more parts than the Hobby Craft 234 I just built!  This is going to be a fun one!  Hope the fit is decent!

Aaron - Fantastico on the Arado. The pilot looks right at home .. What is the reason for three cigars with a red band and one with a silver ?  I have always liked hobbycraft kits myself..

Guy - Great save on the decal, next time pay more attention to your 1/48 model and not the scantily clothed 1/1 model parading around your house.

The Macchi will be getting smoke rings.

Anyone hear from SC yet 

I am using after market 'Barracuda' decals for this build and they suck, BIG TIME. Theyre too hard and dont conform or shrink very much. But ah well. Heres the dissaster pic,

I gave that a real light sanding with a polishing board (For nails) and then. For the 1st time with this kit it seams, i was lucky and used another similar decal to go right over the top of the old one. I had to touch up the black a bit, but id say it came out ok,

Sean, the macchi is looking spunky, my friend. What camo are you going for. Smoke rings? or blobs? (V, technical, me)

As for old jugga lugs. Unfortunately i splurged a fair bit of glue on her and it glubbed down to the painted invasion stripes. Ill post a pic but im going to try to salvage the thing. Sorry Dave, but it didnt do a Kamikaze into the wall, though i was sorely tempted.
