Great to hear, can't wait to see it.

Well I have no excuses for my tardiness on completing this build. To quote a great 80s song," I dont feel tardy". But she is finally done. One AH-1S Step II (AKA AH-1E) TOW Cobra, circa June 1982 in Lebanon during Operation Peace for Galilee.

I promise to do better for theRSR GB CD...Embarrassed

Thanks CD. I should have finished this kit long ago, but just keep putting it aside. Almost there though now. I have just a tad more stuff to do and then will be calling it done and posting pics here.

Awesome Cobra thus far!

OK, I'm back, and I apologize for shirkin' my workin' and letting this build fall off a cliff. I'm going to extend the deadline on this puppy and see if I can be a re-reanimator.

(See how I worked in an Eighties movie title there?)

Still plugging in on my Cobra. I got a top coat of Humbrol Matt Clear on and then took off the canopy masks. Almost there....

Oh heck, completely forgot about this... Embarrassed

Brabham looong done and completed... so much so that the cleaning lady laid her hands on it and it's now missing one mirror and one wheel is slightly crooked. Angry

Deeve, I wanted to do this one fairly close to OOB. But yes, it does scream for extra detailing. I have added some stuff, but the cockpit really needs improvement. I have an AH-1J that I will get more elaborate with. I applied teh decals yesterday and added some Micro Sol to snuggle them down this morning. The marknigs are very plain/low key. Markings are for the IDF Southern Cobra Squadron circa 1982. I am still debating as to whether or not to apply the yellow ID "V"s that were added during the Lebanon campaign.

Stikpusher.

A fellow in my IPMS chapter built one of these. Likely the same kit. He had some gun barrels turned on a lathe and did some scratchbuilt tow missles and whatnot. did a ton of detail to it. Pretty impressive kit.

Yours looks to be coming along just as well!

Hopefully we will both be able to get our kits done for the deadline :) I have just finally got some headway into my Valkyrie. I think I may have been a little ambitious with my initial idea. Its looking like I will need to scale back the scratchbuilding I am going to do :( Still going to do some custom posing and cutting/adding, but nowhere near what I had in mind, that is unless we get an extension on this GB (hint hint)  :)

Anyone still active in here?

I think I am going to need an extension of the date to get this sucker done. No way I am gonna finish it before new year. Too much happening over christmas, plus this bloody AT-AT for the Star wars GB is just taking way longer than I ever could have imagined.

If this GB is still open. I've got a Tamiya 1/35 M3 Bradley from 1985, I'd like to enter.

Thanks

Scott

First, let me apologize for being absent. I've been a jerk, but maybe you'll cut me some slack when you see what's been distracting me:

Second, I want to thank you guys for keeping the build active while I was gone. You guys are as totally awesome as Mr. T with a green lightsaber.

I'll come back by later (tonight or tomorrow) to respond to some specific stuff and edit the first post.

I'll bet you had lots of fun with that 'build'! I hear they are self weathering as well!
