WW III GB

This is the GB that never dies! Ok,, I'll sand my F-16 and get some paint on it...

Very nice!  Also, kudos for having stuck with it. My project is still in gloss coat, untouched for several months......

Well my entry to this GB is finally done. Marked as a Guards Airborne BMD-1P as dropped into Calumet Colorado in the opening of Red Dawn...

The VDV Airborne figure is by Dragon and shown for scale with the little beast...

Yes it is alive.....Today I applied a gloss coat and then decals once it dried. Markings are for a Guards Airborne unit.

Next up is a flat topcoat... deatil painting,weathering and final bits attachment....

Break that puppy out Boba! Well today I was able to get the Russian Green basecoat on. I used Mr Color and am not overly impressed with that line of paint. Their old Aqueous line airbrushes far better. In its' favor though the Mr Color had no problems covering the PE parts unlike most acrylics.

Tomorrow my goal is a gloss coat and maybe the decals...

gosh darn it... forgot about this GB! Maybe I should pull my F-16 out of the stash again...

Well six months later I have completed all building on this kit. But hey, it is finished buildwise (except for attaching the shovel and crowbar after the basic painting is completed...

I've been building, just doing other things, I guess.  I still plan on finishing mine, just don't know when......

Same here...I have been in the model building doldrums for awhile here...

Is anyone still working on anything here?  Mine's been shelved for quite a while.....

Magnificent work guys, as I'm a big fan of Ghost in the Shell. The chopper is number one on my list of must haves. I Love the work on the BMD (Must Have) and Abrams(Got two). Keep it up guys love this theme.

Sorry I have to renege on my build for this GB. Some major parts were lost or missing from kit. There have been some great builds here, it would've been an honor to on here with you.

Badges finally redone they should work.

I've made some more progress! I tried to preshade nut it didn't come out the way I wanted to I'm still a little heavy handed on the airbrush but at least it gave me some practice I did find some areas that I will need to touch up then it will get a wash.

I did nothing on my M1 but did work on the base a bit. I just need to decide on the final markings and finish the base.

Well still makinf progress! I'm trying to wrap up this build by the end of the year. I've layed down the primer and now I'll do some preshading. I still dont know if I should paint it Helo Drab or a ghost grey scheme. Here are some WIP pics.

I didn't even look, it's been just a busy GB.....

I suppose I should finish up, but I've got serious "modeller's ADD". Oh well.

I've got a couple of pics on my M1, but they're not great, camera's not going to the proper setting. I'm going for a re-marked, out-of-the-reserves look, so I put on some "fictional" markings, then put more right over them after scraping them up pretty good. All the markings are from Verlinden's old M1 dry-transfer sheet. Latest unit marking are supposed to be from a unit stationed in Germany, 1988 or so. I'm going to percolate on it a while before I put the last coat of clear flat on. I'm not sure if I like the big "USA" on the engine cover yet. Yeah, true. I forgot about ESCI... well, Italeri is another manufacturer that irks me... Got the fuselage halves together, and let the puttying begin!
