Yea, something about the pre-war tanks just seems cool. I sort of like how they were not so mass produced and used as much, I think it makes them more unique.

On the bench:

1/35 Tamiya M26 Pershing-0%

1/144 Minicraft P-38J Lightning-50%

Numerous 1/35 scale figures in various stages if completion.

I'm in for sure. Not sure what to build yet but I guarantee two things-it will be waterborne and it will be small :D Otherwise I'd never get it finished. I'm 15, by the way, age seems to be a requirement for entry :P This is my first GB in a while!

Cool, and Boba, can I change my build? I was having trouble finding all of the stuff for my Eastern Front diorama, and while I was looking, and getting mad, I found this little gem of a kit, it is Dragon's 1/72 scale Jagdtiger with zimmerit.

let me know, Jim

Ok, I'll be building the Destroyer USS Spence (DD-512) as she appeared when lost in a Typhoon, late 1944. She'll be in dazzle, Measure 31/2C

She'll be built from the Tamiya 1/350 Fletcher kit with Tom's PE. Best, Avery

hey, I don't care if you change. do it anytime you want. Any Dragon 1/72 armor pro kit IS a gem by default. I love them , and the're cheaper than those awful Hasegawa 1/72 kits. Dragon, 15 buck a pop. Hasegawa, 15-20 bucks. no PE, some incorrect dteail... No DS tracks! *cries*

Ok, Boba, this is unbelievable, I got my package in the mail, that was, ''supposed'' to contain my new jagdtiger but instead I got a notice saying that the day after I placed my order the product was, ''discontinued''. So I am looking for a different kit, I have a couple of models on my wish list and I am deciding between them, or I might get them both and make a diorama, who knows???

Sorry, Jim

No problemo! That sucks. Well, I recommend Dragon's 1/72 armor pro Tiger 1. I had sooooooo much fun building it, and it's relatively easy to paint/weather. But hey, the choice is your's!

Hellcat man, gotcha! and welcome!

Jim,why didn't they just send you a mail with the note? Did they actually send you a package with one note? Or you ordered other fancy stuffs aswell? Mischief [:-,]

And Dragon discontinued the 1/72 Jagdtiger? Meh... Shame..

What I'll build is still a mystery.. I got some things to do here first anyways.. But we'll see!

Academy - 1/35 M113A3 - Iraq 2003
Tamiya 1/35 scale US Army M2A2 Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle
Academy 1/35 scale Merkava Mk.II Israeli MBT
Tamiya 1/35 scale M113 Armored Personnel Carrier

Alex: The M113 Iraq 2003 sounds most appealing to me.. Mainly because I like the M113, and the Iraq 2003 kit must have been made after 2003.. More detailed!! Smile [:)] Or the bradley aswell!!

I've decided it's the Academy 1/35 M113 Iraq 2003 or at-least I hope, because once you enter the LHS everything happens to catch your eye.

Hey Boba, what is kit number of that that Tiger 1? I have a dragon tiger 1 on my wish list and I am wondering if it is the one.

Thanks, Jim

Ok, I think that I will be doing a small Normandy diorama in 1/72 scale. I hope, ( if I can get the guts to do it) to do a diorama with figures, tanks and lots of scratch building....ugh

Thanks, Jim

It's the Gruppe Ferhmann or whatever. The box-art shows the thing pointing the barrel out the side of a building... it's awesome. PE grille screens, handles. And brass muffler guards. My only problem is that the road wheels have a very tight fit witht hte tracks. The teeth on the tracks don't fit too well, but I think that was because of my construction.

Also, we have some more kits pledged to us by Daywalker (Frank) Let a toast go up to him! Make a Toast [#toast]

Finally, I WILL update pg. 1 soon.
