Now, I am really upset at the inexperience being shown here!!. Avast ye all, lest ye be run down the tail boom of the venerable H-19 with the tail shaft cover not in place!!
There is only ONE proper way to motivate a model rotorcraft around the front yard. You must put your right thumb in your belly button, whilst holding said rotorcraft in the remaining digits of that hand, and looking down blow on both the main and tail rotors, else both main rotors in that type (for autogyros an electric power source or rubber band motor may energize the prop) so that the effect is convincing to onlookers. While these things are being done, it is merely necessary to rub your hair (or pate, as the case may be) with your left hand and utter "Froom Froom Froom" as you pivot around while running around in the limits of your yard. There will be no spitting or drooling as that may mar the finish of your model. If dizziness is imparted eventually, or other effect of being out of breath if you are not an accomplished operatic Bass, or Tuba player in a Polka or Mariachi band, you will eventually safely autorotate yourself to earth, transferring the model from your right to left hand as you descend withouth losing simultaneous contact with either belly button or head (pate). Those of the left handed persuasionmay reverse the hand sequence, those who are ambidexterous may make the choice, but must state the choice in writing beforehand.
Quite simple, really, much easier than keeping the throttle correlated on any Bell or Hiller of the early days. Those newbies who came along and have operated only turbine powered helicopters with the little hat switch to set the governor may have a bit more practice to do. And then of course, those hydraulic fluid drenched persons like me who primarily worked on the wretched things and went through the contortions necessary to do that and flew them less frequently until later years will have no trouble whatsoever.
So there, Bondoman, you have it. There will be no easy out. As to you being a lucky guy, surely it be so. But is SHE a lucky girl? Maybe in time, if your deportment improves in the latter days.
Avus, thank you very much for the fine badge. Make It So!!
Ludwig, I'll update the first post with your build.
Lewbud, you are on the roster. Happy camping, and yes standards for entry are a bit loose, just like discipline in the typical helicopter unit. Those officers really know better than to mess with the guys who tighten the "savior" nut.
