oh a tip on posting you pics. just right-click on the picture and click on properties. you'll see a line that says URL, and it has an address there. just copy that address and paste it between the tags.

you had it linked like this

http://www.finescale.com/fsm/community/forum/rongeorge.com/albums/upload/IMGP0180.jpg

I found the main gun, it was on the floor. Had to untie the cats and turn off the bright light. I think they'd have cracked if I'd have kept grilling them... they were ready to talk.Wink [;)]
Actually, they've never touched any of my models... I think they have good mental pictures of what would happen to them if they did!Evil [}:)]Wink [;)]

Almost done! (with the tank... not the dio)

Hysterical !! Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]

You have such wild animals in your house ! (maybe they are using it as a straw to drink out their water dish.)

Tank is done ! Just have to finish the figures. ( not my strong point )

I have Freddy Krueger as the commander ( in serious need of plastic sugery)
Fred Flinstone is the driver ( looks like his head was squished from the top )
and Robby Robot ( looking very stiff )

Only been about a week and a half working on them

Trevor and Johnpo, very nice!!

Sitrep (status report): Hull and turret assembled, painting almost done and weathering started. Dumped the indi tracks (DML) 'cause the sprocket teeth didn't align with end connectors... am going to use an old Tamiya set. Still have to finish installing the exhaust and air intake ducts for the engine compartment.
Muddied up the hull a bit also.

I MIGHT get the base done, but I WON'T be ready with any figures... unless I get another sick day tomorrow!Tongue [:P]

Alex, who can only work one or two hours a week on his (split custody), is still on the suspension. JoAnne's is all in the box... untouched. I think the hobby shop (me) is going to reposess it. I'd scratch her from the build if I were you, Robert.

That's 'bout it. Good progress since Sunday night, being as how I had Guard this weekend!

I need some help on a couple of things so I can finish up.

What colors were the .50 cal bullets, I assume the casings were just brass. And the late war rings that replaced the belts, were they just brass also?

Thanks in advance,
Gary.

Checking in...

My 1/72 Sherman now has paint, decals and a bit of weathering. Should be able to get it done by the deadline (15th, right??). On the to-do list...
- final flat coat and some highlighting/weathering
- paint/install the tracks
- build some sort of small base (something simple, but hopefully it will have a small amount of terrain of some sort.)

Sign - Ditto [#ditto]. The call to finish a kit keeps dragging me back to the Panther.

Basic construction of the Achilles is done, still have to add some details to the 17 pounder, and modify the incorect parts and add the correct internal stowage in the turret.

Going for broke on the 17 pounder shells after getting some 1/35th scale plans. You were absolutely right Robert, the kit ones are very out of scale. So Now I'm back to square one and re building them from styrene rod and copper wire. Hopefully I will be able to do more and be only a little bit behind the deadline/guideline this time.

Trevor, I like that dio a lot. Very nice work.

John, Fine job on the Jumbo. I have a jumbo somewhere out there and I might do it sometime late. Your kit is making my fingers itch.

Firefly Indy Track Heads-up

For all of you who are building the DML Firefly, the latest one with the extended end connectors, be aware that there are some allignment problems that will cause a lot of grief.

It appears that the allignment holes on the extenders are a hair shorter in distance between them then the normal end connectors. This causes the track to curve out of allignment. The easiest way to fix this is to trim the odd allignment pin off and glue the connector in a straighter line.

As if the DML indies weren't enough fun already, they have to go and throw a curve ball.

As with all of the group builds so far, this one seems to be running true to course. Deadlines seem more to be guidelines than firm lines in the sand, which is quite alright. I know there's quite a few that are very close to being finished, mine included. Heck, I might even make the "deadline" myself for a change.

As long as everyone is having a blast, that's the main thing.

But out of curiousity, how's everyone making out.

How about a status roll-call !!!!
