That is one awesome tank, Dwight...incredible...
Your Isherman is hands down, the best Israelian tank in this group build!
( Can I take second? Tongue [:P] )

I started working on the crew...hoping the poses are somewhat realistic. Any comments or suggestions on these two are welcome.

Regards, Dan

Dwight your Isherman beautiful. Love the weathering and then the contrast of the clean shinny search light. Got to love the pics with the gun barrel right in your face

Dan your crew looks great, very relaxed.

RAF: Thanks for the kind words.

Dan: What do you mean 2nd place? Your work is great and besides we are all winners here having learned a lot about Shermies and lots of modeling tricks. Those figures are nice, BTW. Much much more detailed than mine. Great work on the tarps on the rear stowage bin, too. I must admit, I have never tried the toilet paper approach. I mean tissue paper, LOL.

Great work Dwight. E-mail me the 4 you want displayed on the group site.

Dan - If Dwight is #1, and you're #2 .... does this relegate Domi to 3rd place with his IDF Ambutank?

Just kidding ...... the IDF has certainly been well represented so far by both of you .... superb work guys.
I agree with Dwight's statement about all of us being winners with the Group build.
But I think I've been the biggest winner of all in seeing all of these Shermans so well done. And the best part is there's still so many more to go.

Oops, my apologies, Robert!

Seeing Domi's talent makes him one heck of a modeler and I shouldn't have joked about the winners... I didn't mean to disrespect his work in any way. I agree with you and Dwight that we are all winners in this and I have learned alot as well.

Well, I think all of the work I've seen presented in this thread is really top notch. I certainly wouldn't want to be a judge over any of these guys. Dwight and Dan (must be something about names starting with 'D's and IDF tanks!! lol), I single out you two as you're the last two that have posted pictures. Both of you have done absolutely fantastic jobs. Thank you for being part of this group and for sharing with us.

Dan - I can surely guarantee you that Domi will take it with the same tongue in cheek attitude that I did.

Anyways, moving on. I have just updated the site with Diggeraone's final pics of his boiler plate Sherman. Here's a teaser for you to look at, the rest are on the Group Site.

Looks interesting, Sherm. Digger really did a good job on that one.

Wipw: Thanks. Actually I do have a special place for Israel in my heart, being a christian. Besides, my second name is David which is a biblical name, too. I had the opportunity to visit Israel last 1998 and it is a place that I could never forget.

Sherm: What's the size limitation for the pics. My pics are at about 300 kb each at the moment.

Actually I see the jpg icon and the picture frame but no picture. For some reason I cant see the pictures. The same went for Erock's Project 68...the icon in the top left hand corners where each picture should be.

Hey Dwight,,, I said it before and I'll say it again,, Awesome job. I went to my LHS tonight and baught the M51.. Oh my gosh does this mean I am becoming a shermanaholic????Will I ever see a German tank again???? Whats happening to me???

Hi. My name is Rich and I am a shermanaholic.

I also agree with the comment that we are all winners here. I can speak personally that I have learned alot just from reading all the post and looking at the pictures.

Update on my Sherman: Slowly but surely,,, Have spent the last two days debating open turret or closed turret. Have decided to make it closed because Im not sure I want to get into all the detail that I know I want there to be seen. Also has anyone had trouble getting the turret bottom and top to go together properly?? Mine had a poor fit in the back. Have fixed it with putty,, but was just curious if this was a common problem. Will be starting on the lower hull tomorrow.

dostacos brings up a good point Dan, if you're computer is a little aged, it may take some time to load.

Dan - you got mail

Dwight - you're pics are uploaded to the site

Ga.modler - look forward to seeing your completed M7. And I'll add another page for your M4A4.

Rich - I hate to admit it but it's been so long since I built the M4A3 from Tamiya that I can't remember any problems like that with the turret. But if you got it worked out, it'll be great anyways.
And what's wrong with being a Shermanaholic ???
My Doctor says I'm doing reeaaalllly good now.

Yeheey! I can see my pics. Thanks Sherm. Gotta finish my write-up. I am on page 6 now...LOL.

Hi, Rich. Shermanoholic? LOL. I am worse. With 3 Shermans built and another in the waiting, I am becoming a Shermaniac. (Sounds nasty, isn't it? LOL.)

Oh BTW Sherm, I got the Italeri M-32 but might be sometime before I can work on it. The wife requested me to build her a ship for the dining area and she picked the 1/70 Mayflower. A ship?!?!?1?1?1?1? (He-he-he. I know you would say that.) Well, what can I do? The commander in chief has spoken. LOL.

Dwight - then you must do what the CiC says. But I would suggest the H.M.S. Victory ... it would look a lot nicer than the Mayflower. M-32 it is, turret will be on it's way soon.

HMS Victory? Hmmmm. Gotta check the LHS if they have one. Good thing she haven't bought the Mayflower yet. Thanks, Sherm.
