I hear ya on the tweezerpult. I have enough trouble in 1/35, can't imagine 1/72. Dropped a track link a couple days ago and that took 15 min to find!

i'm gonna go into styrene withdrawal when this 1's finished, unless i come up w/ another insane project ...
i still have the m1 GB ahead, & i'm sure the 1/72 p/e parts i got 4 the revell kit will b driving me crazy over the next month or 2 ...

(next 1/2 hour spent on knees down on floor looking 4 something that would fit on the head of a pin...) Wink [;)]

u can see a bit of the scratchbuilt front end detail: cable aperture hatch, guide roller assembly & the pulley on the right side fender

Nice Comments Mike and 100% true! The fun is in the build... to tell you the truth, I don't have a lot of use for many of my completed kits. They sit on the shelf and they're fun to look at, but it's the building that I like. As a matter of fact, with limited shelf space, I rotate finished stuff from shelves in the garage onto my 'finished' shelves inside.

The fun is in the journey, not necessarily the destination. My shepard pup (ironicly named Panzer) has a great time table surfing and trying to chew on models or figures I'm working on. (Has knocked models off a table, done the Godzilla thing with the figures from my pak gun diorama and thinks its great fun to "help") as frustrating as he can be, and the potential damage he has done, the pleasure comes in the build. If I just wanted the finished product I'd call guys like Ron, Robert, Eric or you and commision them to build for me. Sure the finished product is a joy to behold but its the concept, build and fabrication process that drives me.
No matter what may happen to them, if you think about it, how often do you pull your completed stuff off theshelf and play with it? But the hours you spent building it.....ahh!

this has been my most intricate build 2 date, & i'm just worried that one of my sibs will get their hands on it, or worse... their foot ! Dead [xx(]

of course, it's just as likely that i'll drop it onto the floor & have 2 watch it break into pieces... Murphy's law will dictate that this will happen just before i take the pix of the completed model .
again, thanx 4 being so encouraging & positive !

i'm feeling like i'm in the home stretch now...
the spare wheel mounts r done
the trapezoidal bracket 4 the towing / lifting rig is done
the guide roller assembly WAS done, but one of the mounting bracket arms broke in half last nite... Dead [xx(]

auggh !
started putting on the link & length trax
still have a lot of misc. small fittings 2 make & add
and I'm only a little more than a month past the end date 4 this GB !

took some updated WIP pix, uploading 2 RonUSMC site rite now !
they r on pg. 4 of upload gallery.
i'll try 2 link the pix tomorrow, if someone doesn't beat me 2 it ! Wink [;)]

ps i'm doing dragon's ISU-152 and that has a massive problem too...i'm thinking that dragon do some nice looking stuff but never bother to build any of their kits themselves!! Angry [:(!]
