Looks like all of the usual suspects are here...

I'm in!  The weekend of 11/14-11/15 is perfect for me, as I am off that weekend. Thumbs Up [tup]

Not sure yet what I will build.  Big Smile [:D]

Are figures fair game? Cause if they are, I have a set of Zvezda Russian infantry that I would use.  Not very ambitious i know Laugh [(-D]

Anything is fair game. The only "rules" are basically:

1. Have fun

2. It can't be already started

3. Finish in 48 hours to claim the badge

Last year, one of the guys attempted a gundam kit.

Regards,

Jeff

Alex, figures are certainly acceptable.  What scale are the figures?  Welcome to the GB.

Frank, glad you could join us.  Let us know which spinner you'll be doing.  Whistling [:-^]Wink [;)]

Bondo, I'm not very good with anything past WWII so I'm not sure where to start hunting for something like that.  I usually just do a search on Squadron's or Great Model's site to see what is available.

Hi Dave

Count me in for this one (I accept your 24 hr challenge).

I have a Tamiya 1/48 Tiger I, hanging around that I have been wondering what to do with. This looks like the perfect opportunity to put it to good use.

However I do have an appointment on Sunday Afternoon, so will have to commence on Friday (hopefully at 10:00 am), and finish by Sunday Morning

Welcome aboard Brett!  Smile [:)]  Good to have some armor in the lineup.  (Uh... and you do realize this is a 48 hour build and not 24 right?)  The Friday morning to Sunday morning timeframe is fine with me.  Thumbs Up [tup]

You know, of course, if  you want to do it in 24 hours that's alright by me! Big Smile [:D]  Then you could do a second build on Saturday-Sunday! Clown [:o)]Wink [;)]

Crikey! the way I've been building lately (completing one build every 3 months), I'll be going just to get this one finished. I can see the hairdryer will get a good workout (hope I dont melt it!). If i do find myself ahead of schedule, I'm sure I can fill any available time with weathering.

Laugh [(-D]  Maybe I'll do the spinner this time around, landing gear for the next one, cockpit the one after that, etc.  After about 12 of these "weekenders", I should have a full model! Whistling [:-^]

No way Frank, you need to be like Joel in "Risky Business" and say, "What the heck".

Aaron, thanks for checking in!  I know how busy you are right now.  As for Frank's

B-17 I think having to do four props and their hubs (no spinners on a B-17 Sad [:(]) would do the poor guy in.  Wink [;)]  Have we ever seen Frank even build a twin???

Glad there's a date set for the build - happens to be my girlfriend's b-day weekend as well. SO, I'll either have to do a Thursday-Saturday build (or some variation on that) or talk her into joining the GB herself...Big Smile [:D]

Thanks Dave for understanding!  I did build a twin a year or so ago for Wing_Nut's GB, even had TWO spinners on it! Approve [^]

Welcome aboard Paul!  Of course, you know that we would expect a full scratch built cockpit with that build.  But hey, no pressure!  Evil [}:)]Wink [;)]

Do you want me to take and post the pictures of the sprue trees now, or closer to the start of the build time?

How about both!! Big Smile [:D]

I would like a picture of the sprues at the start of the build.  The sprue picture is more for everyone to have an understanding of the complexity (or lack of it) of the kit you have chosen.  As for the date stamp or some sort of record of the date that you started to verify that it was unstarted that is optional.  It is easy enough to cheat if you really want to so I am not going to enforce any photographic verification of your unstarted kit.  There is no prize money here so I would hope everyone would be honest.
