Do you want me to take and post the pictures of the sprue trees now, or closer to the start of the build time?

How about both!! Big Smile [:D]

I would like a picture of the sprues at the start of the build.  The sprue picture is more for everyone to have an understanding of the complexity (or lack of it) of the kit you have chosen.  As for the date stamp or some sort of record of the date that you started to verify that it was unstarted that is optional.  It is easy enough to cheat if you really want to so I am not going to enforce any photographic verification of your unstarted kit.  There is no prize money here so I would hope everyone would be honest.

Okay, well if it doens't really matter, I will post them more to the start of the build. My camera is kinda going on the fritz and the other one that I have is... well... in all honesty, suckish, so if it's all the same, I'll post it when my camrera is back in working order.

Chief armtwister Bondo here. Mister Razor wants to share the following:

1. Shoot Bondo on sight.

2. It's very important that you have fun. Which is defined as modeling your guts out really quickly, but really well. This is not a tea party, people.

3. Speaking of which, where are the women?

4. Never mind.

5. It's a pretty strict deal that you crawl home at + 48.00 hours.

6. It's even more important that you post at the onset, at the first bedtime and at the end.

7. If you can find a GB with a higher rate of success than this one, I will fly out and buy your wife dinner.

8. Can't be done.

9. Bondo hints are: plan ahead. Lay out your challenges and your materials.

Sign over to you, Dave. Just had to remind the rabble.

People, Dave runs this like no other and it's a rum thing. Bottle of same to the first finisher, on me.

Yeah, children. Show us the money on Sunday at the end of the second dog watch, which is 10.00 pm for those of you that puke over the rail...oh, never mind.Pirate [oX)]

Rum will follow results. That's the plan, and an  honest one too. This Razor guy needs a strong pistol man to enforce the rules. But that's a good cause, he thinks. Model hard and model well.

It just ain't fair.  Just when I think I've got what I'm gonna do for this build, something else comes along and get my heart all aflutter.  Was gonna try to knock out two GB's with one model, but then I see Indy over in the Automotive forum build the new Tamiya Citroen 11CV.  May have to do that one, but in a custom scheme.  Back to the table.

Okay, Okay, i won't make you build the 1/32 Ju 99 A-4 in one weekend Aaron though I do think you are capable of it!

Frank I removed the 1/48 B-17G too.  Aaron threatened to make me build the 1/72 USS Gato if I didn't!  Shock [:O]

Will try to have made up my mind by then, promise.Whistling [:-^]  Since I have to work that weekend, my build will start when I get home from work on the 15th and conclude when I have to go back to work on the 17th.  I would say give Mac a Mach 2 or Fonderie Miniature kit, but he eats those for breakfast.

Dave, I would like to give this one a try.  I have yet to finish the last one as you well know why.  It was the most fun I have had building in awhile.  I'm lean towards Minicraft's 1/144 American Airlines DC-4 with NMF or 1/72 Frog Spitfire Mk. 8/9.  As the date gets closer I'l let you know for sure.

Hey Roy, thanks for stoping in.  I'll add your name to the list for now and will update it later as needed.  Both of those builds sound like good choices. Thumbs Up [tup]

Dave,

Aaron was just telling me he was considering a 1/32 Academy F/A-18C for his 48 hour build.  That guy is crazy IMHO!

I solved the ejection seat problem. Just picked up the 1/72 Tamiya F4D Skyray online for $ 8.95.

Early ejection seat designed by Douglas- looks just like the one in the Skyshark manual Randie gave me.

No, no I haven't started it. That's a review but from MM.

Razordws, would it be alright if I swiched my builed to a 1/48 Tamiya 6x4 Krupp Protze kfz.70 truck? I ould rather build a kit that is more... complete, than just a set of figures... it'll make me feel more acomplished Wink [;)]

I'd like to take part if possible. Not sure what I'll build yet. Maybe a1/72 armour kit, or a Hobbyboss kit (not an easykit, but a regular one, say, maybe the F-15E), or, or, or...

Bondo. a Mach 2 kit?  Strewth!  More like 48 months, not 48 hours, to build one of those!  I re-built a started Mach 2 B-45 Tornado, and, well, abandoned it eventually (the undercarriage kept sagging, the fit was awful, etc).  Good luck man!

Certainly is some ambitious stuff on that build list! Believe I've talked my girlfriend into doing something for this GB as well - in which case we'll most likely do a pair of 1/72 Fujimi Harriers I've got kicking around. Going to AMPS in Connecticut this weekend, though, so who knows what I'll come home with. Wink [;)]

Dupes that would be cool that your girlfriend would join us.  Is she signed on to the forum or is she letting you do the posting?  Let me know when You've decided on the builds for sure.

Sean, your welcome.  Almost forgot about it until I tried looking at the forums this morning without my readers.  Laugh [(-D]

Dave - she actually has a forum account she opened sometime this spring. Been pretty idle (forum-wise) over the summer, but she's been doing a fair bit of building, and I think will be much more active here over the winter. Odds are that I'll take pics of both builds as they progress and post them, but I'm sure she'll be chiming in at some point. Wink [;)]

Think I've found my kit, but not quite sure yet.  If I go with it, it will be large and in a scale I don't normally build in.  The suspense is killing me.

Sean,

If I go with it, it won't be divine scale (1/72).
