My thoughts exactly.  My girlfriend took one look at my face in the store holding the kit and said "okay which one are you getting for the GB?"  Sad [:(]

If at first you do succeed, try to hide your astonishment.

I hear ya there. I saw my victim's model in the hobby store and thought "wow, that one looks like a lot of fun!" I think someday I may have to go back and see if they get another!

The Stalking is complete and target acquired. I hit the hobby shop today and I got the kit for my intended victim. Would have liked one for myself if they had two, dont know whats worse buying a kit for someone and looking at it and wishing it was mine or sending it off and watch them squirm at the package for a long time. Might hold off on mailing it for a while.

Well well well ... the weather has been a bit crisp here in SE Texas, more than usual for it only being October.  The local Home Depot has Christmas trees for sale ... and now I have my recipient.  Time to send out my army of elves to find the perfect kit ...

Apparently, probably because I was a little sleepy last night, I neglected to include forum names so you could better stalk ....er....research your recipients.  I'll be rectifiying that tonight when I get home from work. :)

Emails and PM's have been sent!

Awaiting you even now in your inbox is the name and mailing information of your secret recipient.  All the information you need to make another person's Christmas merry and slightly more full of the sweet smell of fresh styrene.

Please PLEASE tell me if I missed an email to you.  I am keeping an eye on my inbox to make sure I spelled everything correctly so hopefully everyone is able to start plotting and scheming.  You are encouraged to make your wrapping as sinister or as kind as you wish (please, nothing that would get Homeland Security excited :))

Perhaps you'll receive a box completely wrapped in duct tape?  Or maybe your new model will be padded by a box completely full of live spiders!

However you wish to torture your secret recipient (just kidding about the spiders), please have your gift mailed by November 18th and let me know that you have mailed it so I can check you off on the list.  Don't tell us who your recipient is, and recipients, don't tell us who sent your gift to you.  That's part of the fun on December 25th. At midnight, let the wrapping paper fly and the plastic cememt flow!

Merry Christmas one and all.

In just under 5 hours I will be shutting down joins for this group build.  Tomorrow, I will be sending out your gift receipients.  This will occur after work, so be sure to check your emails on Tuesday morning for mail and model information.  Than, off to the races.  Please let me know that you have received your gift recipient information and also let us know when you have mailed your gift.  Don't tell us who you have gifted.  That we find out on Christmas.  Looks like we have a pretty good turn-out this year, so the styrene should soon be winging it's way through the postal system.

Looking forward to this Group Build.  It gives an element of surprise for the whole family because no one knows what I am opening.  And I have the week between Christmas and New Year's off this year {company shuts down for that week}, so I can get building right away!

I need to do a better job of updating during construction.  Also a better job of thanking my sender.

Count me in.  I was part of the first one, but I've been away from the Forum for awhile.  This is a perfect Group Build to get back in the action.

I will email you tonight.

I'm not super picky about the badge you want to use, but the official group build badge will be the non-US first badge designed by Avus.

All righty folks.  One week left.  I'll be sending out your matches on October 19th.  I know I've already been browsing the local hobby shops and online arenas to find a some good matches.  You can almost feel Christmas in the air.  Especially here in Chicago, where it's already getting cold.

Great we're getting more and more!

As for the badge, if the first version is chosen (which appears to be the trend) it'll be the non-US version: as bondoman said Santa's not a US-guy!

My vote goes for the 1st badge as well, but the de-US-ified version.
