Yes indeed, I have mine out of the stash and on standby, with a vac canopy on the way. I also have a bid on an extra kit on eBay right now, just in case the MiG BuG really bites!

At least five others to finish first though, I better get to wok!

I started my Alanger 1/350 Akula class SSN (Nuke powered attack sub) today. Just basic hull work done so far. I am also tackling a Bronce 1/350 Kilo class SSK (Diesel powered attack sub) for next month's IPMS chapter meeting contest theme (new release kit). Both are very simple builds and will progress rapidly. The Bronco kit is leagues ahead of the Alanger kit in crispness of detail,

Well, enough whining - back to work!

Hey there is some nice work going on here I have to say, been keepin an eye on you guys ya know.

My build will be starting soon, as my baby sister pulled one over on me for Christmas. She knows all my passwords and things like that so she went into my Squadron account and found my wish list. Tricky lil thing that she is, she ordered what was on that list. Canopys for the MiG-3 and an F-82, PE for the MiG, Liquid Tape I want for the Mig build and the decal saver I will be needing for the ICM decals. Thank you MIckie !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thunderbolt one of the guys I know on the forum used Microscales decal saver and loved the stuff, said it was better than sliced bread LOL

Now that's a sisterly gift! SMILE! And in an interesting coincidence, my vac canopies for the MiG-3 arrived today as well, so it looks like we can get a start in the near future (working hard to finish two armor kits by the 31st, I should have them done for sure).

Thunderbolt yes my baby sis is really special, both my sisters are really, my other sister got me a years worth of Netflicks. Dont know that I deserve them though. Yeah around the end of January would be a great start date for me, so no hurry. I think it would be fun to start at the same time, althou I think you will complete yours first as I am a very slow builder.

Well gents, the SU25 is built and ready for painting. Still can't say much about the fit. I seem to remember yaers ago Revell made good stuff but I guess maybe in recent years they've gone downhill(?) Anyway, I masked the cockpit and am going to put the canopy on after painting. I think I'm just going to repaint the main wheel well because I have not found a good way to mask it. Oh well.

Looking good Sub Revolution!!! Can't wait to see her finished. I know what you mean about some Revell kits seems like you used just a little putty on this one.

Here's the PT-76 I'm working on.  I'm about to start masking off the ends of the suspension arms and prime everything.

 I think I'm just going to repaint the main wheel well because I have not found a good way to mask it. Oh well.

Sub, you dont need to worry bout masking off the wheel wells. from what I have researched, the wheel wells are often painted in the underside color of the aircraft. Here is a shot of the one I finished in late 2008.

My Akula is ready for the paint shop now. All built, sanded, and everything attached except for the screws.

And here she is with a couple other 1/350 Soviet subs also being built for other purposes a Kilo SSK for this month's IPMS theme (new kit release) and an Alfa SSN for another GB going on here

Thanks Sub! Well today I got a coat of red on the lower hull area. I dont know which particular shade of red that the Soviets used, so I used Humbrol Scarlet. It has a nice faded red, rusty orange hue. With the faded black I have planned for the upper surfaces it should give a nice weathered look. You dont happen to have any info on painting for Soviet subs, do you Sub Rev? 

Sub revolution, M1 A1 A2 Tanker, RESlusher, and Stikpusher, your builds are ALL looking sweet ! You guys are all gonna get me wanting to build a tank and sub man. I have a hard enough time building aircraft geeze. I do have a ship ummmm near the bench ? That I havent worked on in sometime, may have to get back to that one someday too.

Yes it is a resin kit, but the way plastic kits are going , they are about the same price, $400 for a plastic aircraft carrier, then 2 to 300 on pe. It is out of control.....

Yeah, there's a resin kit of the old M667 Lance missile system out of Taiwan that costs $120 US that I'd love to get too; but I still can't bring myself to fork over that kind of money.  My limit is $50 and the kit gets built OOB.

Thats a hobby fan kit and you can get them out of califorina, still $100 + make 2 versions one on a trailer and one on a tracked vechial, I looked into them a while back
