Looks like a half-dozen or so, if HVSS Shermans are included. Still haven't heard from the chief instigator.

I'll be starting my Pershing TODAY!!!, if a GB gets going I'll jump in...if the moderator allows me to...that isWink [;)]

Well, since we don't have a moderator, I'll go ahead and start one pronto myself. We'll just see how it goes from there. Maybe it'll be  an "unofficial" GB.

What about expanding it to early NATO tanks... say from 1945 to 1960 or so? That would include the Pershing/M-47/48/60, but also include stuff like the Comet and Chieftain and early AMX stuff.

In reality most allied countries used the M-48 anyway.

Neu, I would say (and I welcome anyone else's input here) build whatever fits the time-frame of the Pershing/Patton family.

I haven't started yet, but I can next time I get some modelling time.

How about a start time of a couple of weeks ago and run it until June or so?

I'm unofficially in. Next session at the bench will see mine started. Anyone willing to be the unofficial moderator, or do an unofficial badge? What I'm doing right now is pretty much the limits of my "computer skills".....

i have unofficially put glue to plastic on this group build and got the suspention leveled on my t-26,the only issue so far is the back engine deckand upper hull didn't want to sit together so a little persuasion and glue made them more friendly.will proceed cautiousily and of course unofficially.IMHO the badge for this build should include this builds unofficial status.happy holidays everyone and may your gifts be in scale.

I'm jealous! I got my Tiran (in the Armor forum) in paint and went back into the Magach 6B Gal that's been waiting for a couple of months, giving in to my "modelers' ADD" big-time. I did move the box to a place closer to the bench and put the friuls together while the Cowboys lost.  It'll happen.....

I agree, the unofficial badge should reflect the "wing it" nature of this endeavor.

That exact kit is on my "gotta have" list. I'll be using Tamiya's kit and Friuls. Not sure what theater, or even exact variant I'm doing yet.

update on construction of my t-26,i've got the lowwer hull and upper hull mated as stated before.yesterday i managed to get all the "fiddily" patrs attached whithout losing one(big accomplishment for me),the handles for the storage boxes were the worst, more glue on my fingers than on the model but they 're there. put the fenders and skirts together as sub assemblies then went on to the turret, lots of strange fiddily stuff there also and the dragon instructions were vauge on placement of some of them none the less no missing parts here either.the turret has awesome texture to capture the cast look of the real thing, the seam where the ring and upper turret meet is well hidden by this texture and some creative "painting" of liquid cement, should turn out ok when painted.next part is the indy tracks(out of box) and paint.at least it don't have a hundred road wheels like some of the german stuff i insist on building. more later      all this is unofficial and i will deny any knowledge of this group build or any model if captured LOL.

This gb may be off to a slow start but it's the best reading so far......

I've done absolutely nothing on my Tamiya Pershing, unofficially of course.

I could say: "Badges? We don' need no stinking badges!"

But I think an unofficial badge would be cool, unofficially, of course.

Unofficially, I think I like it, but it's kinda small....

Am I missing something?

I moved the box my Pershing is in....

And, yes, I do a pretty good bandito accent.Cowboy
