RBaer Yep DS tracks. I see what you mean by the overlapping, I should have been more careful. And yes I forgot the spare tracks on the turret during the photo.Sleep Would you like another picture with it on?

(P.S good looking tank!Yes)

P38jl The decals are for the 1rst Platoon, Co.B, Marine 1rst Battalion, Han River 1950. I chose them specifically for the graffiti on the fender and the other one on the turret. Not sure what they stand for, I'll have to search it up later.Huh?

that would be neat to know what the graphiti meant.. sweet!

Mine is in OD green now.. more pics soon!

TAP, yes, by all means. The clutter on the turret kind of characterizes this tank. I've seen a few pics with so much stuff hanging off the turret attachments, and anything attached to them, that the turret looks like a gypsy wagon gone mad.

Everybody's been BUSY!  Lookin' good!

Lovin' the stowage bins, Mr P38jl. Bet those were fun.......

TAP, nice finish. Did you use the DS tracks? That overlap where they join could maybe use a little attention to hide it better. Did the kit supply spare tracks for the turret rack?

I got some stowage done, removed it except for the vehicle tarp on the right, and shot the primer. I use Krylon, inexpensive and dries just like Tamiya, really "tight". Engine deck grills are painted black for shadow, and they'll also get a wash after the OD is on. Inside of return rollers got the same, that way I can live with the difficulty of painting their tires later. Hope to get the OD on soon......

I did a wash of raw umber followed by a coat of white slowly taking it away with cotton swabs(and fingers!) followed by another wash of raw umber. After that, I overcoated it with tamiya clear and, Voila!

I actually bought a can of primer the other day......now all I need is time to use it and to make a decision about stowage.

I hate these tracks!  I am going to the hobby shop tomorrow and buying the orange box so I can get the single piece tracks.  Anyone want a opened box track missing M26A1 model?

Patriot, did you watch the game last night?  Go LEAFS!!  Pretty exciting game, ending in a shootout.

No I didn't. Against who? I haven't caught much hockey since the Canadiens didn't win the cup on their 100th year. Thanks for the encouragement guys!

So true, in most cases. Friuls are ciul!

Even though I have done diddly-squat to my Pershie, I did start working on the display .... sort of.

Anyway, another reason I like Friuls:

Actually, If I can find some of the Dragon or Trump RR tracks, I'll have it sitting astride them.

Thanks for the adviceYes, There was much hasle with tracks. Since there are too hard too glue right away, I am clipping them on with some clothespins to stretch them out.

Funny thing, While doing this, I encountered two problems., one wheel came loose and the ball turret fell off, But like you said, persevere! And I did! I....I think I'm starting to see it!

Well, I have a new headache. While trying on my recently painted tracks, I was putting too much pressure on one of the wheels with my thumb and broke it off. Right now it's being held moderately well with some super glue. I'm going to take a break from modeling to ease off the pressure on my shoulders
