Guys: I am taking the initiative to set up some Group Build procedures as they relate to us armor guys. My goal is to assist anyone who has a GB idea, has considered hosting a GB and for those of us who already have. These are based on what has worked for me, but of course, as always, chime in at will. For sake of clarity I will use my Big Cats GB as an example of wording...so here goes:
1) Post what we will call the "probe thread" here in armor. i.e.-"Big Cats GB anyone?".
2) Let it run its typical course: questions, qualifying builds, start/finish dates, etc...
3) Once the host decides/determines it's a go, he should wrap up the probe thread and announce that it will be moving to Group Builds. i.e.-"with all the interest in "Big Cats" I will be starting a new thread in GB's, please go over there and sign in"
4) Knock yourself out with how to set-up the thread in GB's. I used dupes' Winter Warriors GB as a guide, espins1 has a great set-up for more in-depth GB's...go check them out for more info.
5) Build and get the Badge
6) After the host assembles all the final builds pics', he should start a new thread, BACK HERE IN ARMOR, with all those builds...again, see what dupes just did for Winter Warriors. i.e.-"Big Cats GB-Gallery of Builds. It's up to the moderator to decide to show only the badge builds, or all efforts.
This procedure will let us know about all the armor GB's and alleviate the heavy posting during the "busy" GB times. If you care to find other GB's, you'll need to go over there periodically. By posting the final builds back here in armor we'll get to see what our comrades have done in a gallery format.
