Another fantastic build Trey......the finish is just spectacular.
This group still active? If so I'll have another entry by the end of the week, hopefully. My Hellcat is a F6F-3n.

Hercmech Trey, Love the in action photos you have.
Ditto, awesome shots! Updated the front page. That's four, right? At this rate, I better come up with the NF Ace badge quick!
Cheers,
Greg
- yat yas!
Hercmech thanks!!!
Greg thanks and yep thats 4 but you've got lots of time before I start #5 its going to be a worthy build for the Ace badge. I'm gathering up the last bits of aftermarket conversion goodies as we speak. I'm setting the bar extra high for my building skills with the next build!
Setting it extra high? I already look like I'm building with Legos in comparison! I am looking forward to seeing what you have in store.
I haven't made any progress worth photographing.
Below are some post shading pictures. I am planning on shooting the merge coat either tonight or this week end. I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with this one now! Thanks for looking
I've finally started my first kit for this GB, the Dragon Bf 110D "Nachtjager". First of all I gotta say there has been some truly outstanding work in this GB to date and the bar is quite high.
I forked out for the Eduard interior/exterior PE for this kit. The interior features some Zoom PE with the self adhesive. Nice and easy to use with out applying messy small amount of CA glue.
Didn't have the correct colours and the LHS was closed so today was spent mostly cleaning up parts and adding PE to parts for painting in the office.
Some nice little enhancements and details with the extras.
Cheers
On the bench: A-4F 1/32 Hasegawa
Just deployed: F6F-5N Hellcat Nightfighter 1/48 Eduard
Up next: A6-E Intruder 1/48 Revell
Hercmech that looks awewsome ,its really going to make the top colors 'pop' well done!
Casper off to a great start looking forward to seeing more
Hercmech, I like that finish. You said post-shading? What was your process/tools? I am not super happy with my acrylic washes over a laquer clear. I like yours though.
Caspar, glad to see you starting the 110D! I am looking forward to seeing it come together. It would be nice to hear your opinions of this kit.
Paint is almost finished on my F-117. looks striking. ill see if i can get pics tonight if i can get my camera home without drowning it. Its hosing down and i have to bike home from work

Check out my blog here.
Trey, the finished product looks great. I love the action shots too. All you need is some siren sounds to go with them.
Satch, Hercmech and Casper. keep the pics coming guys.
I'm calling my Ar 234 done. It could use some more weathering etc. but I like it the way it is so I can't believe I put all those little rivets/screw heads or whatever the heck they are on. Some guys on another site were taunting me and I gave in. Had to pull several whiskers off the cats to do it. Makes the purrfect paint brush size. Naw, actually I had a set of decals with them on but it was still a tedious process. The key was to trim the excess carrier film off so that they didn't overlap onto the clear parts. This is the third Dragon 1/72 scale Ar 234 that I've done. One more to go but I'll wait awhile before finishing that one.Pics man, show the pics...

Hey Greg, yeah great kit, lots of nice detail and attention to the little things. I am sure this will be a joy to build.
Can you update the front page for me, I definitely won't be building the Mossie but I did manage to get my hands on a Revell 1/32 Sea Venom which I want to build as a NF.3 nightfighter. I actually saved for months as a kid 30 years ago to buy this kit when it was a Matchbox offering so I am pleased to see the Revell reissue as I made an awful mess of my original as a 15 yo kid.
Razor.. nice build !! very sweet !

Wow...some impressive builds coming out of this GB...hope the GB leader compiles pics of all the finished builds in a separate thread at some time...
Razor: Came out great! I love the rivet detail on the canopy.
Greg: My process on this was to preshade the lines with black, then spray the base color, then I lightend the base color with Tamyia buff and cloud sprayed it on every panel, then (Not pictured) I went back with a really thinned base coat to blend it all together. All was done with Tamyia paint and my new Grex Tritium TG.
I am at a stopping point right now as I don't want to throw it out the window, as when I shot my first gloss coat I got orange peel. This is the first time I have had it happen, (got in a hurry and thought I would use a rattle can rather than decanting or using future as I normally would) and I really am hesitant to sand it back. I wish I had taken pictures before I had gloss coated
I finally have a photo of my progress.
As you can see ive got alot of touch up to do.
C&C welcome as always.
And the Grumman F6F-3N Hellcat, VMF(N) 534, Orate Field, Guam September 1944.
More outstanding work from everybody. Mikey....I see you haven't quit....lol. I like the tri-color scheme on your F-117
Satch.. ! very nice build.. i'm liking..
Slow progress, this is one of the most complex cockpits I've done in a while. It would be detailed for a 1/32 kit but this is 1/48
Quite a glossy finish but I'll ton it back with some flat cote before the weathering is applied.
Looking great Casper!
Hercmech Looking great Casper!
Why thankyou!
More progress on the cokpit today and the canopy roll bar;
Not far away from the oil wash and some dry brushing for the canopy details.
Casper the office looks awesome,I like the detail you got on the dials and knobs nicely done sir!
Well fellas...after fighting me the whole way, I am finally finished with the J1N1 the pictures did not come out great but you get the idea.
Nicely done sir.
Thank you Jbrady
Hercmech stunning build worthy of 5 stars! The weathering and color are spot on and on top of that its a very clean and well executed build! My hats off to you, nicely done Sir!
Yeah, Hermech! Nicely done, love the weathering particularly!
