Hey all-here's were we are at the moment-the 'blending wash, dark pin wash and lightening dot filtering wash have been completed.  Still needs some 'touch-up, some dust/dirt on the treads/road wheels and a few small bits attached-antenna, rear light...I think that's about it.  Then maybe...just maybe, some worn spots-metal and some rust.  And the muffler could use a bit more attention....followed by a light dull coat.  Hope to have it complete by close of business Monday....or not....

Good to hear you're so close to the finish line Bob.

Once I figure a camo job, I think I can fly through most of the rest of it. Darn camo. LOL

Great job Carl....very impressive work.  Thanks for sharing your techniques along the way too.

Scott-looks like you're progressing at a good rate.  Looking forward to seeing more pics.  I think you are doing the right thing, choosing to celebrate your anniversary over modeling time....you've got the rest of the year for that.

Dupes-very nice 234's.  Thanks for posting pics. Always good to see others work for future inspiration.

Eric-keep plugging....it will come together.

Made some progress on the Jagdpanzer-tools painted, blending wash, pin wash & dot filtering complete (per one of the Doog's tutorials).  I need to do a little more weathering, add some dust to the tracks/wheels and do some touch-up.  Hope to finish by the end of the weekend.  Will post pics as soon as I find some batteries for the camera.....

Keep plugging away Scott. It actually builds pretty fast except for the tracks.

Carl, just stupendous. I commented already in the armor forum. Thanks for participating and sharing that jewel of a work.

I got a little done. worked on the periscopes and the towing chain. the camo is killing me.

OK, here are my latest WIP pics.

Obviously, I will not be done in time. Especially, because I've got class tomorrow and my anniversary on Thursday.

Oh, well.

I will post more pics as she gets done.

This build earns a "pretty freakin' sweet" in my book! Toast

I wonder if I have a pic of my 234/2 and 234/3 (both Italeri, to complete the collection!) in my photobucket...he shoots he scores!

Wow, that /2 was from a long time ago...I'm even thinking that might have been from Tigerman's Italeri GB? Now if someone can come up with a build of a 234/1 we've got the trifec...quadfecta!

Indeed a fine job with those tools!

I've been plugging away (although I lost two days to go to the weathering seminar with Boyd, Nate, Thom, Scratchmod, etc) on the Sturer - wrapping up painting tonight, hopefully. Will put an update together in the next couple days time permitting.

Also been playing with the figures from the DML Sturmartillerie Crew - think they'll work out nicely if I can get them painted up in a satisfactory manner.

Eric-are there any solid one color scheme's in the mix?  I keep wanting to do a one color & weather it well....maybe for the next GB.....

For the Jagdtiger? I believe so. At least I've seen modelers who've done it. I admit that I get a little tired of the tri-color camo, but this beast is sort of calling our for it.

Yeah Bob, I get it. I'm done with the self-pity thing, now I'm in the anger stage. Hope to get some work done soon.

I'm stuck on the camo pattern. Still can't find anything I really like. I need to get the periscopes done. So, I'm a little in neutral until I get the camo down. Still can't decide if i want one or two colors.

Bob Thanks , it has been altered even further .I've been posting with William Carls and he offered me some ideas . what i ended up doing is using lacquer thinner applied with a stiff brush and then stippled the surface with the brush to make it rough . I painted that panzer gray , then dry brushed with rust and over that with leather , all model Master enamel . finally i touched it up with some pastel chalk colors .

Now

Ditto Eric.....still looking at the tools that need painting every time I walk by it.....sigh....maybe tomorrow night...

Carl-dunno who offered 'critique' but the original looked great to me....of course, the reworked version looks great also...what was your technique to achieve the 'rust' effect?
