Well it's past midnight, so I'm into Sunday the 18th, I know I could technically start but I want to start with a clean bench, I have nota cleaned the bench since May or whenever I started the tractor. So I will look after the bench Sunday, wait for the Osprey on the panzer IV v,s the Char to arrive so probably during the week.

Hey Will, glad to have you aboard.

Yes, I remember all the clever banter between the Light and Dark Side of the forums. We still get a little of that. I've grown kind of fond of the A/C guys and many have crossed over to the Dark Side. Ask  Marc aka wingnut. He's been a regular staple in the armor forum and he's dang good too.

Jean, those croissants look so yummy. Eats

I'm going salmon fishing outside the Gate on Sunday. Leave at 0500 and won't be home till 1700, and I'll probably be a little "worthless', and no I will not be driving. So I'm gonna post tomorrow night, which'll be early am for most of you anyway.

Tigerman, I remember when group builds first started, and those grey badges depicting the friendly comp between armor and aircraft hah!

Anyways, last minute, but I want in, I've been itching to build Dragon's initial production sdkfz 8ton, and I'm assuming it'll be a dio

Hi Eric : ) here are a couple of pics of your Hotchkiss H-39 by a modeler named Urs Klimmeck.

it is unusual because it is in primer red... the figure puts the tank in good scale.  (unless yours is the H-38?)

Just make posts in the thread Andy. We don't really have a chatroom.

Who is the maker of your kit and what scale will it be in?

I was originaly going to get a B-25 in the beginning of October for Hans GB then get the Leger in november for this GB  however there is a model competition Sept 24th so maybe I can pick something up from the vendors.

PS. I have never been to a model compition like this before are the vendor prices lower than at a model store? Also what is the probibility of getting a Heller Char Leger there?

Been wondering what happened to you Bob.

I see that my kit has a fairly detailed interior. Sadly, I doubt I will use any of it, for the turret and other hatches will be closed. It's so tiny, that even if you could see in there, there wouldn't be much to see. The engine is okay.

Eric,

Please put me down for a 1/48 Tamiya bf109E-3 or E-4.

Looking forward to seeing the cloud of dust come Sunday am at the start.

Cheers

Hi Andy and welcome. I see you're from Vancouver as well. Cool. I guess the Gladiator is good to go. I don't know enough about them, perhaps someone else can verify them. I see they fought at Malta.

The build for you and me would start Saturday Midnight.

Eric i read AndyT post as him asking what time Sunday morn for the get together . I'll be checking in around 9 am PST Sunday .

Forgive a total newbie but hoe do we communicate on Sunday?

If you have trouble with paint sticking to rubber band treads after giving them a good washing spray with a light coat of bumper paint. You can find it a spray can at auto parts stores. It's formulated to stick to rubber bumpers and I've had no problems with paint flaking since I started using it.

I'll probably check in Sunday night or Monday morning. I did do a little work on my kit some months ago (maybe 10% done) including cleaning up the road wheels so I'll be pretty close to the rest of the pack.

Everybody planning on being here Sunday morning so we can all discuss or models ?

Hi Shell :  )

I'll be here!..... to bad it will be in the morning... I would pop a cork and give a toast...wait .. the French have an early morning drink... A Mimosa...I think it is half &half champagne and orange juice... I could do that Toast

treadCool

P.s. I don't pre clean my parts anymore... It's redundant... they get so handled while building and I opened my kit as soon as I got it... it was from e-bay... I once bought a model from there that was re-sealed... and missing a sprue... I had to buy a whole new model to complete... so I check !..... even if hobby town woulda had it, I woulda opened it anywayDevil

I 've been gone from the forums for a copule of years and haven't modeled much in the last 30 years but I would be interested in doing ant least one plane.  How about a Gladiator MK II, I have a kit on the way. If I have time I would also do one of the following:

Vickers Wellington 1C
Handley Page Hampden B Mk I Twin-Engine Heavy Bomber
Dornier 17
Bf 109E
Morane-Saulnier MS 406s
