I'm warmed up, magnetos checked and ready to go. Funny how night fighter runways all face west.

I'm so in with the Phantom Mustang. So far I've only built the pedestal. plans to build up the internals a little.

Damn.. Forum hiccuped and I lost everything I typed for the last 30 minutes..

Just go ahead and get started.. I'll start a new thread for this in the morning...  It'lll have all the details, rules, ranks, kits, etc..

As for WHAT KITS...

Any kit  that was first manufactured and released in 20th Century (21st reboxes are ok)...   No kits from this century though... If it was first released on or after 1 JAN 2001, fuggedaboudit...

Sorry all...

I hit a slump in any building time due to rather annoying problems in the other world I inhabit from time to time, being a building manager and having to deal with tenants, building owners, and the city government...

After tomorrow, I'll be back in the saddle.. Look for a kick-off thread in here for the GB, and the start-end dates will be posted, and a roster... Just FYI, 1 Feb is the start date..

If you already started, that's ok too...

Well, if you're that far along Dupes, go ahead and post the pics.  The inmates can run the asylum for a while.  I still gotta finish the Tigercat from the first build.

Don't know.  He's been online a few times; but hasn't responded to anyone's questions.

I'm getting ready to start the Me-262 he approved too.

Well, the title says coming 'Soon' and the first page said 'sometime' in January.

To my mind, 'soon' is long gone, and 'sometime in January' is about up, soooooo...................Tongue Tied

Just about done with my first build...so is this thing dead? Did Hans abandon it? If so, no sense in throwing up a bunch of pics.

I may take part if the kit I am working on is eligible.

I have a Monogram 1/72 StuG IV that was released in 1996. Yes, I've had the kit since then but never got around to building it. But the kit is really one of the first Revell of Germany 1/72 scale armor kits they produced themselves. They released this kit and a few others under the Monogram and Matchbox label because those names were better known for this genre.

The kit was not very good and was not resurected as part of RoG's 1/72 scale line and remains out of production.

Bottom line, it is a Monogram kit and is out of production.

"Hello... hello.... (tink, tink, tink - tapping the glass of your screen) - anyone here. Is this thing on? Hello? Is there anyone out there.... HELLLOOOOOOOOOOOOO??!!"

So, what's the deal. This thing DOA or are details still pending?

I read you will accecpt  Aurora  models. Well back when I was a teenager I build all the movie monsters like Frankensten, Dracula, Mummy, Wolfman, etc.  For the last two Christmases my brother bought me all of the re-releases of them. I had planed to build some this winter. Would any of these these count in this group build?

More details to come, so stay tuned!

Staying tuned.... other than the two kit requirement, you got any more details for us?

Hans - don't think I've seen the finish date posted.  Is it 6 months from now?  I'm planning a TF-102 from F-102 conversion (if my parts ever get here) for Stik's Vets GB.  Would that also work here?

Greetings to the Don.

I just built my first model after about 30 years out of the hobby. I think the Don would be pleased with my choice.

From the rack I would like to submit to the Family a Do 335 square bottle build and a conversion of a P-40B/C into a Hawk 81-A3

Oh, yeah, I guess it would help you to know what I'm building, huh?

I'll do the Monogram A-4 (Aggressor boxing) and the Revell Bf-109 (I think that boxing is mid-70's, judging by the instructions).

Now that you mention it, Boyd, doesn't look like I'm up there either!

Hans - you can put me down for an F-102 and EA-6A. Coincidentally, the other two kits I was going to do for the first edition of MM.
