Looks like this GB has been busy!!
waynec - I didn't know you were building a mini-sub. Very different entry and it looks great! The Centauro is another cool entry, I don't think there's any modern armor built here yet. Can't wait to see it done!
bsyamato - nice work on the Veltro and Falco! All that detail work is really making a difference!
Eric - HEY! Theres the Semovente! Man those tracks do look nice, even though the sprocket teeth didn't fit...I didn't even notice them missing except you mentioned it somewhere else. Excellent build overall dude! The camo job, weathering and tracks are outstanding!
dupes - Man I'm looking forward to the completion of your little AB 41. I really like this Italian armored car.
waikong - Your little Fiat bipe is looking good! I love all the detail in the cockpit
I actually got started on the Zvezda M13/40 last weekend! It was so nice outside I took the kit, tools and supplies outside to work on the patio!
To augment the kit I'm using a Jordi Rubio barrel, Friul tracks and Eduard PE
The suspension took a while; cleaning up all the little wheels, leaf springs and bogie housings. I was pleasantly surprised how sharp the detail is. Here they are all assembled. Oh, I accidentally stepped on one of the leaf spring retaining plates, breaking off all the supports. I had to scratch new ones from Evergreen rod.
I cleaned up all the major hull panels and pre-assembled with Tamiya tape. Generally the fit is pretty good, with just some minor gaps to fill. Pic with the bogies temporarily added.
The Eduard PE is actualy designed for the Tamiya kit, but it seems to fit the Zvezda kit. I won't use all of it, especially the interior PE parts, but I definitely would like to correct the louvers over the radiators. Instead of running laterally across the top, they should run longitudinally front to rear. A simple matter of cutting the kit louvers off, but what to do about the empty space beneath?
