I've got the decals on mine, I'll post a pic tonight. Good rule Cliff, it's right for me too. Think I've got 4 kits in that phase at the moment.

Vance: I've come up with the 90/10 rule.

Takes me 10% of the build time to get to 90% completion.

Then takes me 90% of the build time to finish the remaining 10%.

It's always that last 10% of finishing that seems to slow things down, isn't it?! I've lost track of how may kits I get so near to the finish line, and then slow down to a crawl. :(

Thanks everyone. Cliff, I agree that yellow is a difficult colour to apply. I've done it on a few racing cars too.

Here's the latest progress. I've masked off the yellow top side colour, and done the gloss black underside. I've also started filling in the colour on the undercarriage bays, but it needs another coat.

Cheers

Oh yeah! She looks great esp on a colour that's as hard to apply (at least to me) as yellow.

The yellow is down, The progress will slow a bit now as I'll have to let each coat dry thoroughly before masking for the next one. Everything else is done and ready to add to the model in the final stages, except the undercarriage bay doors, which will be sparyed when I spay the underside of the aircraft.

I've included a picture of the box top as a reminder for how it should look.

Cheers

Alrighty, finally this Draken is the first in the queue. I've used the resin seat, which took a lot of trimming before it would fit, but the rest is just as Hasegawa gives you. You really can't see that much when the canopy is closed.

The main construction is done, fits pretty well, but the are a couple of seams to sort out before I proceed.

Cheers
