OOHHH you could finish it off with a typhoon profile head on. Then the wording.

"I am a leaf on the wind, watch how i soar"

Recite the litanies, fire up the Gellar field, a poo storm is coming Hmm

Afraid I'll have to take a pass on this one, Owl. Sorta had my heart set on the Komet. Got a few F-84G's in the stash, but they just ain't doing anything for me at the moment.

Owl- The Chinook is a Native American tribe, like the Apache, Iroquois, etc. that all of the US helicopters get named.

I know it was actually named after the tribe, but lookie here...it fits!

I believe there is also a Chinook salmon, but the wind would be the connection...

My Raiden is probably going to be the Arii 1:48, an old classic -- I've wanted to try these easy old builds for a long time, and just concentrate on finish, maybe even try salt weathering...

Hawker Hurricane. No idea which mark, but I can't believe that hasn't been taken yet.

Owl- The Chinook is a Native American tribe, like the Apache, Iroquois, etc. that all of the US helicopters get named.

Or as many call them, the Shithook.

Wow, can't believe that got through...

I wasn't sure why the Chinook was vaild either. But i did a search and it seems there are Chinook winds. Its a certain type of wind found on the Canadian Prairies and the Great Plains. I know thats not the Chinook the helo is named after, but i think it would still count.

well i just finished 2 GBs and am in 4 others including crossovers but the time line fits my schedule. just picked up an afv club IDF SHO'T KAL and i don't even do tracks anymore, just wheels. i can build it for the 188th BARAK bde in northern command on the golan heights oct 73. thinking about this a bit i suppose any plane used as a kamikaze might be a stretching it a bit. some other thoughts imperial STORM trooper figure a whole mess of ijn xxxxKAZE (wind) destroyers

Force of Nature Group Build
Posted by CallSignOWL on Saturday, June 16, 2012 4:39 PM

This is the official thread for the "Force of Nature" group build.

Rules:  Build any plane, tank, boat, helicopter, etc. from any country, era or scale that is named after a weather occurrence or 'force of nature'. Examples include: lighting, thunderbolt, mirage, hurricane, tempest, chinook, tornado, tempest, typhoon, storm, earthquake, volcano, Donryu (Storm Dragon), Hayate (Gale, or Storm), Jinpu (Squall), Keiun (Beautiful Cloud), Raiden (Thunderbolt), Reppu (Hurricane), Shinden (Violet Lightning), Sukukaze (Cool Breeze)...and many more!

If, for example, the aircraft is an F-16, you could not build it in American markings because the American name is "falcon", but you could build one in Israeli service as a "barak" (lightning) or "sufa" (storm). That goes for other nations as well.

Crossovers are allowed, and previously started builds are welcome as long as they are no more than 50% through the building stage.

Aftermarket extravaganza or a simple Out-of-the-Box build, its your choice.

The GB will begin on July 1, 2012 and run until July 30th, 2013

Here is the Official GB Badge:
